Why not you people discuss more about US invasion to Iraq and their attrocities toward the Iraqi people?
As a native Indonesian and a Moslem, I am very much offended by the US and Western countries humiliation towards the Moslem in Iraq and Afghanistan you call them Terrorists !
All of us know US troops torture to Iraqi arrested by them.
Why are you so interested with Tibet ?
Look at yourself in the mirror !
Because it is a Chinese forum so most topics deal with China.

Lame excuse, they couldve certainly shown one of those picture with some parts covered to prove their point.
and they certainly wouldnt have problem showing those pictures to Nancy Pelosi, would they ?
I could imagine how happy she would be if she could be presented by those "evidence".
One word : Lame.
due to todays amazing technology, etc. some pictures did make it out. you are just seeing the tip of the iceberg. Pelosi probably has seen some of the images; she has a million other issues on her plate also

It's not whether NED is powerful or not.
NED (National Endowment For Democracy) is a branch of the CIA that specializes in propaganda and deception. They are the main source of Tibet propaganda.
The Tibet catastrophe stands very well on it's own two feet without any help from any intelligence agency

Yes, we use to get MANY Chinese risking all to get here (USA) by stowing away on cargo containers. Some would die on the way. This does not happen as much now as our immigration police has improved a lot.

Perhaps as China continues to rise the Chinese will not be so desperate to get out of China?

You must be stupid to ask this question! SOME of them want to go to the west to better themselves economically, educationally, politically and other outlooks, of course. I wonder why are you using your posting name here which sounding like Vietnam to me. If you are re-settled Vietnamese in a western country, you should know the answer to that question by yourself. Please, don't ask stupid questions.

Life's been good for graduates of the Stanford Business School's class of 1993. They've started families. They've bought homes and built companies.

Except for Jude Shao. The popular student - who loved lessons at Stanford Golf Course, restaurants in Mountain View and dance clubs in San Francisco - remains behind bars in a dreary Shanghai prison.

Shao, 45, who has served 10 years of a 16-year sentence for what American legal experts call trumped-up tax evasion charges, was eligible for parole two years ago. But he has not been released.

At a reunion Saturday, frustrated classmates will hear a letter from Shao - and then plan how to reinvigorate their decadelong fight for his release.

CNN certainly doesn't consider it too graphic to show picture of Saddam's sons shot dead. These are photos that cannot verified, thus most media source will try to stay away from.

TIBET MURDERED BY CHINA

by Kent Welton Page 1 of 2 page(s)

http://www.opednews.com

Tibet Murdered by China

"If there were something civilised in man, every nation would have stood against the invasion of Tibet by China. It is the invasion of matter against consciousness. It is invasion of materialism against spiritual heights"
Osho

"In the past decade, China has waged a quiet but ruthless war on Tibetan society."
Joshua Kurlantzick, The End Of Tibet

"We are facing our own extinction"

HHS Dali Lama

Tibet has been wiped off the map, literally. A new UNICEF map from the UN shows, in its place, a grey blob named... China. Tibet’s disappearance remains a little-known and understood tragedy of immense proportions. Shame on the UN, shame on the media, shame on the world.
What has happened to Tibet in the last few decades is no less than the crime of the ages – the defeat and disappearance of a society dedicated to enlightenment and spiritual evolution at the hands of ruthless, materialist, totalitarian Chinese invaders.

In western societies, where enlightenment is neither well understood nor often encountered in its monotheistic, belief-oriented, religions, it is difficult for most to understand the real significance and meaning of this calamity. It takes an enlightened master, like Osho, to fully understand the many dimensions of this tragic event and help us unenlightened beings to be aware of the treasure and heritage that is now nearly lost in Tibet.

As Osho related in 1988, "Tibet should be left as an experimental lab for man's inner search. But not a single nation in the world has raised its voice against this ugly attack on Tibet."

Tibetan Center for Human Rights and Democracy: Hundreds protested Thursday

(CNN)-- Chinese police fired on hundreds of protesters this week in the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Garze, killing eight people, the Tibetan Center for Human Rights and Democracy said Saturday.

Tibetan monks in exile read prayers during a protest in New Delhi, India, on Saturday.

more photos » China called the incident "a riot" and said an official was seriously injured.

The human rights center said that about 300 protesters -- monks and laypeople -- demonstrated Thursday to call for the release of two monks arrested earlier.

The monks were taken into custody after officials searched their residences, "looking for photos of the Dalai Lama."

As the group marched toward the county government headquarters about 8 p.m. in Garze, in southwestern Sichuan Province, they clashed with police, who fired into the crowd, the center said.

Dozens of people were injured, including three monks who were in "critical condition," the group said.

China's state-run news agency, Xinhua, reported that "rioters attacked the seat of the Donggu township government of Garze County."

An official with the prefectural government told Xinhua that "police were forced to fire warning shots and put down the violence, since local officials and people were in great danger."

"Local officials exercised restraint during the riot and repeatedly told the rioters to abide by the law," the news agency reported.

Beijing blames the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhists who lives in exile in Dharamsala, India, and his followers for violence that erupted last month amid protests for Tibetan independence.

China has drawn international criticism for its crackdown on the demonstrations, which began peacefully last month on the 49th anniversary of a failed Tibetan uprising. See photos of the unrest »

The protests have thrown a shadow over the Olympic Games, set to take place in Beijing in August.

Tibet's self-proclaimed government-in-exile puts the death toll from those protests at about 140, but Chinese government restrictions make it difficult to confirm that number. Find out more about Tibet »

Chinese authorities have reported 19 people dead and say most of those killed were "innocent victims": Han Chinese targeted by Tibetans.

The fallout from the protests has caused a war of words between the Dalai Lama and China's leaders. E-mail to a friend

See the word "ANALYSIS"?

Let us analysis the 4 pictures on the right column.

The first one already proved it was a riot, not a peaceful protest, as those police were standing in front of a grocery store, and mess in front of them were clearly thrown by those "protestors", and obvioulsy aimed to the store.

The second picture : protest by Tibet students in LanZhou. On what date ? March 16, which was two days after the riots. If Tibetans in China had been suppressed so badly by chinese government as claimed by Media, how could those students have protested TWO DAYS AFTER MARCH 14.?

The third picture, where were the chinese police? Do you think Chinese police would shoot and kill some tibetans and just leave ?

The 4th picture, Either the one who took the picture is an %^$#$, or he should know he should also picture those "protestors". Also, look the way those policemen walked, it is hardly "advance", more like go shopping.
