Proof: Philippines have no claim over Scarborough Shoal

I'd like to call upon some Chinese and Filipino friends here who've been debating on who is the rightful owner of Scarborough Shoal (a.k.a Huangyan Island).

Both sides made a list of points, such as a map not available online, a law leading to different interpretation, or a map with 9 dashed lines... None of these is convincing enough.

Evidence, if solid, doesn't have to be a lot. And ideally from a third party.

There are two pieces of information not from the parties interested:

- According to Wikipedia, Scarborough Shoal is located at 15°11'N 117°46'E;

- A map kept at University of Texas shows that the Treaty Limits of the Philippines are as far as 118° with a solid line. This is one of the maps from Series S501, U.S. Army Map Service. Following is the link (take a look at legend at the bottom of the map):

Who is the rightful owner of Scarborough Shoal? Philippines are definitely out as the map indicates that China owns that zone. Either PRC or ROC should claim it.

Filipinos should take huangyan island because the island is nearer to them. Philippines' international treaties inherited from Spain and USA, and laws enacted by the Philippine parliament explicitly says the border is marked by the 118 degree longitude line.

The Philippines is east of the line. The documents were respected and used as basis of other laws until recently. Now the Philippines tries to overturn such legal basis established between 1890 to 1960's.

They launched a disinformation campaign worldwide to portray themselves as victims.

But PH is actually the aggressor violating its own constitutional laws, and harrassed fishermen with regular soldiers and warships.

USA didn't won the Cold War against the combined might of the Soviet Union and China. China and the Soviet Union had bad relations because they shared borders, and competed for the same resources and spheres of influence. USA worked to try to get better relations with China which meant that the Soviets have to worry about China regionally and USA globally.

What is the new law?

The UNCLOS came into existence after China and Taiwan have explicitly and consistently established claims over centuries through laws and publications and actual use of the islands in the South China Sea by fishermen.

How can you overturn it? The UNCLOS never says it has such power. Only greedy sick Filipinos try hard to confuse the world deliberately with twisted interpretation.

BTW, for 100+ years, PH constitutions and international treaties signed by PH, Spain, Britain and USA explicitly and consistently say that the border of PH is at the east side of the 118 degree east longitudinal line. That is, you are saying that you do not own the Spratlys and Scarborough Shoal.

Because of your greed, you ignore your own law and twist the UNCLOS, and ignore the evidence established consistently by Taiwan and China.

When the tourists from Hong Kong were hijacked by ex-Manila police officer Mendolza (2 to 3 year years ago, how did the Filipino officials treat them?

Finally, 8 Hong Kong tourists got killed and 20 injured. The officials including President Acquino were caught laughing at camera. This stupid behavior not only was caught by cameras but broadcast live all over the world. That is why we knew of such unbelievable behavior of Filipino officials!!!

But they love to badmouth others, and many America users called this behavior Filipino backstabbing.

No apology for killing, or apology for just mishandling the case by the Manila police and officials.

When Hong Kong Police launched an investigation in the crime scene with the visas and permits issued by the PH government, the HK Police were met with many more obstacles in Manila. For instance, they were not allowed to get close to the crime scene/bus. It was guarded by heavily armed PH soldiers and Manila police.(What are they afraid? HK Police allowed to visit the crime scene were all unarmed.)(So PH loved to play with "show of force". The use fully armed soldiers to harrass and capture unarmed civilian fishermen in South China Sea too.)

Hong Kong govt protested against the PH govt for not keeping the agreement of allowing the HK team to check the crime scene. A week later, the HK team were finally allowed to enter the bus and the bus was no longer guarded by heavily armed people.

But the bus was emptied and no traces of evidence left. The HK Police team got nothing in their investigation.

That is how arrogant and dirty the Filipinos are.

But yet it all situations, in addition to showing their military power, they at the same time love to portray themselves as victims.
