WJDC you are absolutely right! but not all of them fall in that category. Let me tell you about my friends who arrived from Cuba in 10/2005 not two years yet. One of them works at the Airport as a computer programmer, his daughter and his son-in-law both work as well and they all live together helping each other out. Guess what? They just purchased a home. Another friend of mine that arrived in 2000 works two jobs; he purchased a condo about three years ago. But like you said; those no good for nothing are product of the revolution. We Cuban are very warm; and the fact that we decided to work hard and get educated does not mean we look down on others, but perhaps we just did not have the time to socialize as per we were too busy working, getting an education and caring for those who we had to leave behind. Most of us walked around with broken hearts, depress and sad about having to leave everything; not only that but the culture shock was too much to deal with. Don't confuse our pain and desires to make it in this country with trying to be superior. I on the other hand fell most of the time out of place because the other hispanic girls from my school made it a point to leave me out, my skin was too white and perhaps my hair not dark enough, but they did. I was too white for the hispanics and too hispanic for the americans; therefore, I had to stick with my Cubans. Sort of like the Jewish people that had to stick together because other races did not accept them.

Me too.... Que pena que nos tengan tanta envidia si solo somos todo corazon. En nuestro hogares siempre hay un plato extra para un extrano y le habrimos la puerta a todo aquel que necesite un techo; tambien extendemos la mano. The Cubans in Cuba who have not been brain washed by Castro's continuous propaganda know the reason for the embargo and know that Castro will find any way to oppress them regardless of it. This is what many people do not seem to understand. castro will not give the people more because this is his form of control over them. He conducts authority on what they eat, how much they earn, where they live, what they can say, how to raise their children, what their children will learn, etc. It is his ideology. Communist pigs need this form of control over the masses. I just hope Venezuela wakes up before its too late.
