<quoted text>Nothing personal. I just get tired of the constant propaganda in favor of lousy socialist states. Gee, poverty stricken, repressive Cuba is a wonderful place because they get free education and health care..yet America where most people live pretty darn well unless they go out of their way to fail is a horrible nightmare. Couldn't resist replying to that other socialist's claim that Cuba is wonderful because they don't have any new buildings or cars, like they did that on purpose for esthetic reasons...
Understand, but I honestly wasn't commenting either way politically. Just curious how Cuba prepares for these big storms and sympathetic to the people who live there for what they may loose during these storms. All the social/comunist propaganda stuff, I'm really not informed enough to make comments about. Cuba isn't really a topic I stay on top off, maybe I should?

You Want to see the Cuban escape strategy??

Communism must kick ass, since it happens three or more times a week.

Yep, all Americans should take a little time to look into things. What the media tells you is usually pretty slanted, it's not like it used to be. And you aren't taught the facts in school anymore, either. That's the leftist strategy since the 60s generation took over the media and educational systems...influence the people that really don't pay attention and sell them a bill of goods.

<quoted text>You're either a dupe or an idiot. Explain to me how a system that works so well has failed to provide any increase in the standard of living in nearly 50 years. Explain to me how this supposed wonderful education system has failed to produce any inventors or intellectual leaders. People like to go to Cuba either because they think they're striking some kind of blow against the US or they like to take advantage of the low prices allowed by the government exploitation of it's own people's poverty and desperation.

What harsh words you use. Sorry but it was not meant as an insult to you. You can check all of my claims on the internet, its not so hard.

If your perception of development is the latest iPhone or the newest car, then Cuba for you just do not cut it.

But in the words of a great Slovenian, its where I am from, traveler I can tell you what Cuba is all about:

''Cuba, the island that is really fascinating to me and I like to go there over and over again. Place you have to see and live, the place where the stereotypes are real and alive, people here are really dancing rumba, drinking rum and smoking cigars....''

Sorry for the bad translation, but I hope you get it.

So freakin' cute! I've ALWAYS wanted to have a little pot belly pig. They can be raised to seriously believe they are dogs, even potty trained. I'd never thought about playing fetch though, lol

Hello people !!! there are many Japanese cars in Cuba , and German as well , and I personally would rather have one of those cars rather than a GM , or Ford , not to be rude , but they do last long .

A fact is that Castro sent out on boats more or less every criminal in Cuba, he practically emptied Cuba's prisons, their final destination was USA. I do not want to say that your parents were criminals, but...
Excuse me my parents were sponsored by family members in the USA to ensure that they would find a job, provide for us, etc... My parents did NOT come on a boat they flew into Miami & raised two wonderful kids myself & my sister. Your ignorance has made me actually laugh. You have no idea what you're discussing just stop before you're ahead.

Oh, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the Cuban people, their land or their spirit...but their government is pure evil.
