But we get bashed if we "bring up the race card" yet it seems like somebody else of another race are constantly doing it and yet we'll get bashed again if/when we point it out. Someone will say, stop being so sensitive or get over it... Now THAT'S a double standard.

The Providence Journal is losing money last I heard, also, the Boston Globe is in money trouble, you'd think they would be more careful with what they put in those papers, but they don't seem to care whether people buy them or not.

My thoughts are, let the free market control the process, if enough people stop buying the paper, they'll go out of business, pretty damn fast.

I wish everyone stopped buying EVERY paper in this country and turned off the TV.

Put them racist, greedyass criminals straight outta business.

They would be forced to eliminate the bullshit or new smaller startups would take their place.

Whatever happened it would put a halt to their money. Good enough for me.

Haven't we figured out that this is a new form of discrimination? White Americans are bent on being able to publicly demean minorities. Doing it and then apologizing isn't worth the paper the cartoon is raprinted on. Listen, if white people were really sensitive to black concerns a cartoon like this would never make it to print. To pretend like all of a sudden whites are totally oblivious to offensive stereotypes like depicting a person of color shining shoes is for lack of a better word bull$h1t.

Spike my brotha, there is callouts of double standard from all sides whenever we segragate anything by race. My advice is to take the sincere threads seriously and ignore the racist ones. They all juz wanna try to get under our skin! My black skin is tough... like leather! LOL

Yet another example of why we need better multi-ethnic education and a serious public effort to end the bigotry in this country.

This crap is so trivial, pointless petty insults, yet it is also serious in the sense that in this case black Americans certainly have had their share of insults and it should end.

A lot of the bigots and haters better realize that we're all AMERICANS and we're in this together, and we'd better cooperate and respect each other or we're headed for a world of trouble.

This applies to the black comics insulting white people, the blacks and whites insulting Mexicans, and anyone else who can't treat people with respect. One thing I've learned over the years is that every ethnic culture is valuable and people are all HUMANS and there is simply no reason for hatred or depreciation of other people.

Ok, that's my speech.
