as a CAPEVERDEAN, I shall tell you MR.Julio that Capverdeans are nice people, we should not judge a nation for what one or two people have done wrong.... untill ends of 1990's Cape verde was a peacefull and best place to live and raise your children.... I colud tell more about these but you are verrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyy intelligent, so find out by yourself, how a society can be influenced!!!
now the important thing to know is that all these sad story about these poor Italian girls was about drug dealing they were involved, and were killed because of that!!! don't u read the news???? that happens everywhere!!!!

Leave Cape Verde to Cape Verdeans. It's no place for Europeans. Especially keep your lovely European girlfriends or wives at home if you intend to go there. Nothing much to see anyway. Among the natural scenery is pure savegry and ugliness.

Cape Verde is a beautiful place and I hope that this story will not keep you from visiting. This type of love-hate and love-affair issue occurs everywhere as sad it sounds. Go to CV, and enjoy the sunny, beautiful beaches and landscapes. It truly is a paradise!!! The people are beautiful, music, and food (lots of seafood:)) the BEST!!

First of all the Islands in which the girls were killed has more Italians than Cape Verdeans, second of all the prime minister of Italy said himself that crimes like these are rare in Cape Verde, third of all Cape Verde continues to be a number one location for European travelers, also majority of Cape Verdeans have Italian blood, and finally this crime was an isolated event, crime happens everywhere, there was a huge vigil done for those girls, they chose to go, they were involved in drugs and Italian Mafia, unfortunately it led to their death, as the Italian mafia paid their ex boyfriends to kill them. It is a sad story, please don't talk what you don't know. by the way the first settlers to Jamestown Virginia lived in Cape Verde as well, no ship traveled from Europe to America without first stopping in Cape Verde. We have a shared heritage with not only Italy but the US as well
