I am very glad to observe burundian politics in the way of improvement, It is the matter of burundians to decide in which way their Nation has to be led.If the Burundians no longer need Hussein Radjab as CNDD-FDD Chairman He has to resign. We are in Democracy; People have right to choose who is able to lead them in the rightous way.the citicens know who is wrong because it is not to the authorities to observe good governence but are the people who knows how they are led so Mr Radjab, Kinjura abanyagihugu bakwnse Reka kubizingitirako.I advise Mr Hussein Radjab not to proceed with war because we are so tired of it remember what the late Firmat Sinzoyiheba said :"If the humanity do not stop the war,The war itself will stop the Humanity" so Kubali matokeo ya wananchi My friend Radjab

The former president of the ruling party in Burundi CNDD-FDD HUSSEIN Radjab has been arrested this thursday 27 may 2007.
He is accused of preparing a rebellion in order to return on the head of his party after that he has been ousted and replaced by JEREMIE NGENDAKUMANA.
At the same time, the former vice-president ALICE NZOMUKUNDA who had resigned in october because she had problem with RADJAB has been appointed Vice-president of the National Assembly. Things are very fast in BURUNDI.

Jean de Dieu,
you're right, things are very fast in Burundi...or rather they're a fast mess!
I can't believe after what the burundian people have gone through this past decade, you have a power-hungry and greedy politician stirring things again.
I mean, come on now, we started the road to recovery so well (with fair elections etc) and now, back to square one?
Oy, let us pray kweri.

The most and sad situation is the miscalage or rather dead Truth, Justice and Reconciliation. How come the same perpetrators of yesterday, now on power will allow the TRC to take place? who will accept to shoot on hiw own foot? the same people after all the crime against humanity that they comitted since 1993, they are expropiating land and propprieties of IDPs, refugees and burundian in the diaspora, what peace are we talking about? what justice are talking here? where is reconciliation without justice? guns have just been silenced, but retarded bomb is getting ready to explose

Onezime, with your kind of thinking, Burundi will never find peace. Yes, Truth, Justice and Reconciliation is needed, not because we want revenge, which is what you sound like you want, but because it would provide some answers to our bloody past so we don't follow the same tragic example.
And I would like to remind you that crimes against humanity have been committed way before 1993. Since independence, there have been crimes. 1993 was just the tip of the iceberg. We need to concentrate more on how we're going to improve our future rather than how we each interpret our past.
Peace.

I agree with both Onezime and Diana. There are some realities of the past we need to know not without the spirit of revenge.Yes,crimes were committed long before 1993 but talking about it with the purpose to avoid any repetition could contribute to the development of Burundi but of course for not creating more problems.
