funny how our country works, 100 years ago our forefathers were sick and tired of the democracy as it was then , with petty lords fighting and appointing our rulers by force of arms.
till finally it was voted that we have one king and his desendents would rule our tiny but proud nation.
today our king gives the so called power back to his peoples,
my only hope and prayer is that our new leaders dont ruin what generation of bhutanese have sacrificed to make what bhutan is today.

The win by Jigme Thinley clearly indicates that the people of Bhutan are fed up with the high-handedness of the new Royal relatives - the family to which Sangay Ngedup belongs who have gone a wild spree of grabbing fertile land in Punakha, prime orchads in Thimphu and making the family the richest by getting majority of the industries. In addition, the family along with the 4th King is the architect of the refugee crisis from Bhutan. They 4th King and his inlaws oppressed the people who vehemently supported the monarchy since its inception and forced a large group of honest and potential leaders to flee Bhutan with unjust and ill-conceived policies of ethnic cleansing in Bhutan. jugme Thinley a lesser eveil in the scenario has emerged winner but risks his life from the hands of the opposition.
