Take heed...never allow your idealistic daughter or son to venture into a third world nation in order to "change" their world...very sad, it's like taking a stroll in the bad side of town at 2AM...nothing good will ever come of that.

I don't know if anyone knows the complete details yet - so I think it's premature to call the parents naiive. If Kate helped a villager in a domestic violence situation and she murdered as a result of it, I would not say that was politically motivated. It's a terrible murder, but one that could happen anywhere, when you have a compassion individual trying to help out another.
