Would this be a new, scaled down version of the old Soviet Union? This decision should be left up to the citizens of Belarus. However, any referendum, if it came to that would probably be rigged, as usual.Since the dictator has borrowed so much money from Russia that he can't pay back, he might have to start giving them equity IOU's, such as land. Then this gradual unification may just happen anyway, by osmosis. Here's an idea. He could start by giving them the southern, radioactive land bordering Ukraine and then they would be responsible for taking care of the "Chernobyl People". That would be a coup.

NO WAY should Belarus unite with Russia. OOtka has shown what he does to his friends in Belarus--badmouthing Belarus, creating a row about milk. Belarus should remain independent. Ootka just wants a subservant country to rely on for minerals. Papa Sasha, please keep Belarus independent.
