Hello all,

I'm moving to Barbados at the end of November on my own and would really appreciate any advice on job hunting. I currently work as a Secretary for an investment bank in the City of London and was looking for advice on where to look for admin office work in Barbados. If anyone could recommend any websites or recruitment agencies in Barbados that would be so helpful. I have Barbados Citizenship by descent.

Thank you!

As long as you're not nearing the retirement age your credentials should get you a position, there are many jobs looking for secretaries and administration, but you would need to go after larger companies. Persons cannot afford to pay you for your credentials especially for something like 'secretary' which is not too specialized.

I am currently living in Barbados and have been for the past two years. I am an experienced Risk Manager, Facilitator and Trainer. I am interested in a Management, Event Planning or facilitation role. I am finding it very difficult to find work and am now at the stage where I'd consider any role. Any help would be appreciated.

I am a young architect in the United States, and I am interested in practicing architecture in the Caribbean, especially Barbados. Are there any architects or firms that are currently hiring, and how is the building sector doing? Is it even possible to get a job in Barbados in the building industry?

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Cancer

Be careful today Cancer, because your emotions could cloud certain issues as they often to and leave you feeling confused. You should be especially wary of believing what you want to believe, rather than believing the evidence in front of your eyes. It's easy to kid yourself now about someone's motives or reliability, even if deep down you know that you're telling yourself a load of old twaddle.
