Most of the people did not get that what he expected before.
So did I, although I count myself to the winners.
I expected a more rational economic policy from the beginning, and it is a pity viewing back, that the last communist government was better, than most of its successors.

The article does not mention the privatizations, where practically undocumented, ot at least uncontrolled way, a lot of assets became private. This was the so called first million of some people at that time. Who could do that? Who had the power, connections, etc. Who could be that just after the collapse of the communism? Maybe you know the names some of them.

What the everyday people could see from it? First of all this privatization, then a 33% inflation. It was fully true that he/she could travel freely, the only thing is, that the travelling costs money, and if someone does not have enough, then it is not a big help that the borders are open.

Most of the Germans and immigrants in Germany as well..
But Germany is unified and change its color every 4 years in the name of upholding democracy
but with the same old story.

What I miss is not luxurious life in Europe but an ethical life.
Luxury i have enough.
Ethics I search still.
Hope i find before my death.

You are a lucky guy then. But here in Eastern Europe, if you go to some villages, you can see what the powerty means.
I don't know where you want to fint the ethics, but there are fields, where you can spare a lot of time if you not search there, one typical field is the politics.

I'm hesitating now, whether you are from Germany and seeking the same wisdom here as you experienced in India (my best boss till now, was a German, he is working now in India), or you are from India and living in Köln. In both of the cases you will fail, since in Europe there's another culture now, but as the recent crisis shows, and I hope also that it will be 'reengineered' soon :-)
