U.S. Forces In Australia Draw Mixed Reaction

We are happy to have them here...they are our allies first and foremost. They aid Australia's economy by being here, most are polite and decent human beings so I don't see too much of a down side, and they can share knowledge to enable all soldiers to become better at defence and offensive stategies with each other...So why would any Aussie complain about the pressence of allies/friends in their country?

We need our allies here for when all the boat people we are letting in form sleeper cells and attack us from within. Our country is under threat from an invasion and our government knows it. The Nazi machine was a murderous and treacherous movement and we are lucky to be rid of it ........ however, what you say is certainly true. All True. I still blame the victors of WW I for putting Germany into a situation where they had no real choice but to wage war. But in defense of those victors they didn't really know any better. The destruction of the losing side had always been standard warfare. Now we know (or should know) it's not the prudent thing to do.

But again I agree with you. Aside from the worst deeds Germany dealt to its neighbours, Europe would be a much better place today for the very reasons you have stated.
