As they said, no matter what proof or facts are brought forward, the anti-gay will always dismiss it as being set up by gays.

Oh, great. Like the HIV Clinic at St. Vincent's Hospital in Sydney needs more funding. NOT.

No, it's just that, in Australia at least, the GLBT community is already way, way, way overfunded when it comes to allocation of the health dollar. When I was younger, I hurt my knee and it got infected. I needed an operation and was in hospital for 2 months. Even after leaving hospital, I was on antibiotics for many more months and had to go back regularly to 2 x outpatient clinics for review: one was the Orthopaedic Clinic, and the other was Infectious Diseases. There's no separate Infectious Diseases clinic per se, so, because most patients that the Infectious Diseases team saw were HIV patients, I had to go to the HIV Clinic for review. What an eye-opener! The Orthopaedic Clinic was a hell-hole of barely controlled chaos, with at least 50 patientsw waiting for 3 or 4 hours to be seen, with physiotherapists in such short supply that you'd have to wait ANOTHER hour after seeing the specialist, to see the physiotherapist. Patients were so grumpy sometimes they'd lose their temper and wedge themselves in between another patient and the nurse when they thought the other patient was jumping the queue and seeing the nurse before it's their turn. Nothing unusual, you say. Typical of outpatient clinics at busy inner-city hospitals, you say. The HIV Clinic was serene, air-conditioned, beautifully decorated, with the most polite receptionist staff who'd even make you drinks. Never more than 2 people in the waiting room at any one time. The cleanest toilets I've seen in that hospital. Never had to wait for more than 15 minutes at the most. Happy fluffy white marshmallow clouds floating all around.

People who are dying of an unforgiving disease SHOULD get that treatment. You had way less of a problem than them, yet you would take the comfort away from dying, suffering people just so you can wait a little shorter? While I do understand the waiting times are horrid when you have an injury requiring quick attention, it's not a matter of money, the issue is the management of the facility. If they take in a patient with a cold before a patient with a stick in their leg, that's mismanagement. Also, why are you mentioning LGBT? It has nothing to do with this. Straight people have HIV and AIDS too, you know.

By your thinking, people in accidents should suffer and not get any treatment because they were the ones who were driving stupidly, or not looking where they were going, or they didn't fix their brake lights, et cetera.

Having unprotected sex with strangers in public toilets =/= an accident Its a lifestyle choice and they have to live (or die) with the consequences.

That's very little of the gay population. That's like saying straight people all cheat with their secretaries and get divorced 3 times. Also, it's not a choice, mister troll.

I feel sorry for my kids because they way the world is going free speech will mean as long as you don't upset anyone. When the f*ck did everyone get so over-sensitive? If gays die from aids then its there fault for not taking every reasonable step to avoid getting it. If you die from smoking then it's your fault. If I say something against abos as long as it is true - no matter how inflammatory - it should be allowed. Our right to criticise is being eliminated by over-sensitive vocal minorities that have more political clout than me - a white, married man with kids with mortgage & job. Life isn't meant to be fair. You want a d*ck up your @ss then that's your choice but be responsible for all consequences that come with that lifestyle. You want choose to be a lazy, whinging, drunk, glue sniffing, unemployed abo then you should not be entitled to 1 cent more than what a white person has spent on them.
