The fundamental problem is you can't train people to be virtuous. herein lies the problem, our competitive system promotes and encourages aggressive and ruthless individuals to become leaders. Almost all leaders have to switch of their empathetic side because there is no way you can expect to please all of the people all of the time. Those who have no empathy at all tend to do better in as leaders or managers and often see victims of their trail of success as "collateral damage".
For many in this country the 13 yr old is collateral damage.
I was just watching insight on sbs, about the bikie's; and I was thinking that I have been here for nearly 30 years and I have never had any problems at all with bikies, aboriginals or asians, but I had lots of unpleasant experiences with arrogant egotistic pric*s with a suit and tie, and with new rich European peasants.
I am starting to think that only one of these suit and tie vultures, including so called businessmen, lawyers, bankers, and prosecutors are far far more dangerous than a whole bikie gang.
they are criminals with a license to operate. and they run the system with the same principle as a mafia syndicate, and the "godfathers" are the small elite who they all serve.
Anyway! is just a theory LOL

For many in this country the 13 yr old is collateral damage.
There was an article on yesterday west australian, about the trial of 4 Tamil refugees.
This case has been going for a long time and it has likely costed millions of taxpayers money;
at the end the prosecutor admitted ( just like saying ooops! mummy I pooed my pants) that he screwed up and the trial had to be aborted; and he walks out the court like a school boy who has done something naughty.
What do this useless primadonas get when they make such incredible mistakes?, do they get sacked? NO!, do they get reprehended? I doubt it; do they lose any privileges? no way!.
Perhaps if they spent less time behaving like high end egotistical hookers and showed more of a serious attitude for the law, they wouldn't screw up so often.
They end up loosing such important cases, because they are too busy prosecuting children.
Unbelievable ( and scary);the clowns that running such important aspect of our social structure.

There is some accountability, however bringing a judge to trial is extremely difficult, like taking a surgeon to court. These people have high positions in society and there are few with the will to tackle them.

I don't know about judges, I still believe that at that level there are very capable people in these positions; I was talking about the gang of useless arrogant prosecutors and the way they run the judicial system, and the way in which they handle cases; all with very dubious deals and based on the financial capabilities of the accused, this clearly means that the real criminals which usually have the means to "buy" justice, usually walk away.
not many people gets second chances for making a mistake; if I don't do the work I was contracted to do properly I do not get paid others who are employed would get sacked, this hypocrites take such a hard stand against a 13 yr old boy who made a mistake while trying to make money to eat; ( while they even give house and benefits to a top people smuggler), and when they make a mistake that costs million of taxpayers dollars, they just say ooppss! sorry ( I think I pooed my pants), and they are back the next day to warm their chairs and earning huge salaries; they are incompetent, self absorbed and arrogant; why?? just 'cos they can; no wonder the world is upside down.

I think rather than prosecuting and imprisoning children, they need to be concentrating their efforts on prosecuting the adults who are running these people smuggling rackets - these young boys could not have been involved without adults directing their actions.

They just released another 3 children from prison for the same reason and there are other 28 which are in doubt, and who knows how long they been already in prison; all this whilst they gave a government house, benefits and refugee status to an adult smuggler.
the truth is that these poofters are so arrogant and self absorbed that they show off when they are against defenseless people, and when they are against real crims, they act like little sissy's; there are still plenty of men in Australia with high ethical and moral principles which can fill up these positions and restore Australia's high international reputation; just look at some of these current prosecutors, they act more as if they are cheap hookers rather than professional lawyers with high ethical principles.

The papers which established the boy's age were sent over in 2010, before the age-determining hearing, but they were not accepted as valid - the boy did not know he was to be involved in people smuggling, he believed he was going on a fishing expedition - he was only 13 years old at the time, he is still a minor now after serving three years in prison with adult offenders - I think it is very sad.
pffffft bleeding hearts. he thought he was going on a fishing expedition?? you must be kidding...what? with 200 towelheads on a crowded boat, your a fool if you believe that, they should lock up the crews of these boats for LIFE so the next one will think twice.

I would not change any 13 yr old for 100 members of the DPP; a 13 yr old do not have even a small portion of the malice and mental garbage most of these arrogant self centered pr*cks have within their souls. They do far more damage to society and cost the taxpayers far more money with their f*ck ups and yet we respect them and pay them huge salaries; I think is about time we shake our prejudices and look at who really are the parasites who do more damage here. I am not saying to tolerate people smugglers; but this coward vultures are especially aggressive with defenseless children, whilst they go and make deals with real hardened criminals. they show off with children and with real crims they wet their pants the poofters.

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Aquarius

In complete contrast to yesterday, you have your head screwed on firmly today. Yet you won't be boringly sensible or drearily practical, so there's no danger of you having turned into a dry old stick overnight. It's a good day for keeping track of important details and processes, such as confirming a forthcoming appointment or filling in a form and then making a copy of it before sending it off.
