Australian fined for buckling in beer, not child

An Australian man has been fined after buckling in a case of beer with a seat belt but leaving a 5-year-old child to sit on the car's floor, police said Tuesday.

So was it in Darwin or Alice Springs? They're two completely different cities at either ends of the Northern Territory.

Maybe if the article identified the type of beer we could make a better judegement. If it was Heineken, safety first. But if it was the beast, well, flip a coin.

Maybe the story was posted from Darwin about an incident that occured in Alice Springs. Really though, is that the most important part of the article? How hard is it to consider the safety of a child?

I dont understand why he was fined. I mean if there was an accident they do have hospitals for children... however if the beer was damaged it would have been irreversible
