the whole assange thing is surreal it reads better than the frickin Bourne Identity series .... The entire fiasco is just too bizarre for reality, Im half hoping they just admit it was a red herring and that it was some kind of mass reality tv show

As far as the wikileaks organisations goes: They did the western world a massive favour in exposing the disgusting actions of the US in particular. If the USA can't deal with being viewed as they really are rather than the Disney version they try to sell everyone, tough. I'm not sure about the famous bit ... he seems to work too hard to be bothered by image. But I totally agree about the value of Wikileaks in smashing Sleeping Beauty's mirror image of the US Gov. They will adapt and change no doubt, and put over another image but their strings are being pulled somewhere between the Middle East and China. The USA is no longer much interested in either Britain or Europe, probably notreally interested in the welfare of its own people either. It's all about Corporate supremacy and getting a large slice of the Global Pie. There is little to differentiate between the aims of American Gov. Inc and the rulers of West Africa. It's only the institutations that stand in their way, those that were created in an earlier more enlightened time. Freedom of the press and such like.

Nor does it include raping women and getting away with it.

E.g The NY times and the Guardian wanted to keep any sources and methods in the cables secret. They'd still expose the corruption and arrogance but without risking sources lives. Assange decided they were taking control, threw a hissy fit and then dumped all the records (without blacked out text) online. He put peoples lives at risk purely to feed his ego.

A: More nonsensensical rambling.
He put peoples lives at risk purely to feed his ego. A: There is absolutely no evidence of that but as you are complaining about that then why aren't you jumping up and down about this: "A series of protests of varying levels of violence took place early in 2012 in response to the burning of Islamic religious material by soldiers from the United States of America Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. International condemnation followed the burning of copies of the Quran, on 22 February 2012, from the library that is used by inmates at the base's detention facility. The protests included domestic riots which caused at least 41 deaths and at least 270 injuries." I could have shown evidence against all you speak but you have not bothered to seek the truth else you would know it.

There's no evidence that Assange released all the documents without redaction and put peoples lives at risk? Other than the testimony of the editors of the NY times and the gaurdian, other than the admission of assange and other than the freedly available unedited documents? You're right, there isn't much else. AS for the rest of you post: What's your point? If soldiers in Afghanistan do something utterly stupid, that doesn't suddenly make Assange a better person.

I wonder what they would have to gain by laying all the blame on Assange? AS for the rest of you post: What's your point? Noone (that includes you) have evidence of any related deaths by anything Wiki or Assange released, but there is clear and definite evidence that the US soldiers not only risked the lives of their own soldiers with the burning of the Quran, it shows that directly (because of THEIR actions,) they got six of them killed...So where is your outrage against them? My point is clearly states your hypochrisy!
