Why are we in there trying to beat these guys with our clumsy and expensive methods? The Pakis know the area, have the alliances and know how to fight in their own part of the world. If we just help the Paki's tick the Talibans butt, we strengthen an ally and win the war while not spending as much money and while keeping American lives out of it. Barrack, are you listening?

Great headline, but not believable, as long as there are governments that fail in their duty to all of the citizenry, there will be those trying to effect change by any means available...

What they will do is run the combatants out of Pakistan and back into Afganistan. This is possible only because Obama will not beef up our forces in Afganistan so they can get them as they come across. The whole thing is totally political...and American troops suffer because of it. We are going back to the stupidity of Jimmy Carter and the politics of Bill Clinton.

Will be interesting how it plays out. Pakis seem committed at last, which is good. But as long as Kashmir is not settled, the calculations of conflict can not be settled

Pakistan Army promises to take control of the remote Waziristan means that the Taliban and al Qaida Islamic terrorists will hide in caves until the tanks of the Pakistani Army will be stuck in the snow until next spring.
Hillary Clinton’s frustration in her visit of Pakistan about the support of the Pakistani people of the Taliban and al Qaida Islamic terrorists including their leaders Osama Bin Laden and al Zawahiri proves that Pakistan attack on the Taliban and al Qaida is radical Islamic fake dog and pony show for the Obama and John Kerri’s payment of 7.5 billion dollars of the hard-earned American taxpayer’s money.
Nothing will change in Pakistan until mid December including the increasing strong control of the Islamic terrorists in vast portions of Pakistan as well as 80% of Afghanistan. The fake African born loser in chief Barack Obama’s appeasement of the ‘good’ Islamic terrorists of the Taliban led to the emboldening of the Islamic terrorists that increase their influence all over the Middle east especially when US troops will be pulled out of Iraq and Afghanistan by Obama who desire to give victory to the Islamic terrorists.

You work this phrase into every post. Your obsessive hatred of the lawfully elected president overshadows anything you might have to say when you insist on harping on this matter. The election is over and McCain lost and dragged all those on his coat tails down with him. Obama inherited this mess from George Bush and has done poorly in cleaning it up. Let's get all the troops out of Afghanistan and Iraq and then start closing up all the foreign bases.

Before US occupation on Afghanistan, never a single suicide attack happened in Pakistan,But since Pakistan supported US no attack happened inside US but now Pakistan daily facing 9/11. Pakistanis have surfed 1900 lives of army personals, much more then US +NATO suffered jointly.

CIA played double game with Pakistan,They slip terrorism into Pakistan after 2 years and TTP (Pakistani Taliban) created.US allowed India to operate through Afghanistan, every arm of militants is coming through Afghanistan,Most are US and Indian made which army has showed to media.

When Pakistan army launched offensive on Waziristan (Headquarter of 10,000 Militants,Including about 2000 external) surprise action from US, US leave all check points on border, not only from border US troops run away from bordered Afghan province.
Which provided easy way to militants run out into Afghanistan or easy way in militants from Afghanistan.

Pakistani peoples are very suspicion about US role in Afghanistan,US is using Afghanistan soil as base for destabilizing other counties under cover the war on terrorism.
US,CIA and other hostile agencies are working to stop Future trade route and railway links, gas pipe lines between Pakistan to China and Iran.
Militants have huge state leave funding and materialistic support against Pakistan.

US should bring peace in Afghanistan or leave.
Pakistan asked US to control illegal border crossing or fence.

One Pakistani former official has given new idea of Muslim nations troops in Afghanistan (With out Pakistani because of neighbor)and withdrawal of US and NATO troops because local public is totally anti-US and they never accept external troops in past and presence like US troops never acceptable to locals, issue in Afghanistan is more political then military.

Doesn't detract from the truth of the portion of the post you quoted. Your BS about what bush did or didn't do won't do. It's obamas war, and has been for awhile, and how it goes is in his lap. I, too, think he's no damn good for anything except socializing America, which is a very bad thing for America

Pakistan voted into power a state sponsored thief and common murder called Zardari along with his gangsters who form the so called government. So now whatever Paksitan government and army say is taken by world and Muslims with pinch of salt. If Zardari say Taliban are terrorist then know that here speaks a liar and actually he must be terrorist. He sometimes says strong word about US drone etc but this is to give himself credibility in front of Pakstani public. I beleive he is actually told by his boss US to say this so it does not appear too obvious that he is working for outside forces against Pakistan.

Zardari is coward who only become US puppet becuase US threaten him that if he did not go back to Pakistan then they would take all the billions he has all over world. This is the same billions he stole from people of Pakistan. Son of bit** zardari and his gangsters must be thrown into prison and stoned daily by the poor until satan take them back.

Grain of truth, but only a grain. It's a process. He has his time on the stage, don't begrudge him it. There will be another election. Outcome will depend on the depth of understanding of the people, which 'till now has been not very

I simply pointed out that this was started up by the previous Republican administration. You think that is BS? What sort of ultra radical partisanship are you flogging here? I was under the impression that the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan were perpetrated by two presidents named George Bush. Please feel free to advise me if this was not the case, but that's what it said in the newspapers in 1989 and again a few years ago. They only cited one president at each occasion and on both occasions it was a guy named George Bush. Remarkable, but true.

It would be surprising if any one president could clean up the mess made by those two over twenty years in only a few months.

The current president has only one agenda, which I suppose you support. The socializing of America. Blaming others for his failure is typical loony dim lib BS, as most people can easily see

CIA played double game with Pakistan,
Pakistan played a double game with al-Qaeda and the Taliban- secretly using them to conduct terrorist activities in India and Kashmir by allowing them safe haven, but denying it. Now the radicals want more power and even control of Pakistan. So Pakistan finally has to fight for its survival. You reap what you sow.
Don't blame the US for you allowing Muslim extremists to control parts of your country. Al-Qaeda leaders like bin Laden have been hiding in Pakistan
since 2001. It was just a matter of time before they wanted Paks nukes.
They are serial killers who destroy innocent lives wherever they hide. Now they kill innocent Muslims in Pakistan- shameful but predictable.

Is it your position that the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are attributable to the decisions of Mr. Obama? I would have thought that it was unlikely that Mr. Obama was able to start an invasion in 1989 and that the war started then was more properly attributed to the fellow who was president at that time. No? The same, I would think, goes for George Bush's rash and ill considered invasion of Iraq a few years ago. Do you believe that was actually done by Mr Obama? Dis he somehow teleport through time and space?

It seems more likely that these two republicans named Bush are to be held responsible for the wars and not the current president who would have, it seems to me, the task of ending them, for which he may well get the credit, but perhaps not, we shall see.
