So sad I can't believe this case will never have closure to it. I wish that those three who were suspects would have spoke up and told the truth. Even though they said they had no idea what happened to her, they no what happened. Its so sickening to know that someone could have done something to someone with such a bright future of ahead of her. I hope a miracle will happen for her and the family.

But a lady (young or otherwise) should never leave an "establishemnt" with person or persons of unknown motives or morals.

It's just asking for trouble, both for you, and your poor parents.

If any "good" comes out of this case, I hope that in the future, when schools take field trips with large groups of students, that they'll have an adequate number of chaperones. Didn't this school trip have something like 7 chaperones for 100 students? Not nearly enough, especially when the trip is to another country. As this case tragically shows, when you're in another country, their laws apply to you as well as the citizens of that country, and their police and legal procedures in murder/missing persons cases might not be the same standards we have in this country

This truly is sad. It may be closed on the investigation side of things, but her family will never be able to put final closure on it. I imagine this is like reopening a wound that won't ever heal right. This poor family has been through so much in the last couple of years and now they may never know what truly happened to their daughter.

Wow! A statute of limitations on murder! Remind me never to visit Aruba! And to research the country's laws the next time I visit other countries.

Ladies, please be careful when you are out. The laws may not be there to protect you if something happens. Only take drinks from the bartender or server! Never leave your drink and keep an eye on it even in your hand! Always keep an eye out on each other and never let someone you came with leave with anyone else. These are rules that I and all of my girls live by and I'm over 30! You have to be careful out there!

I don't always agree with everything you say, but you have got a good post here with some great advice that everyone, especially women should adhere to. Thanks!

WOW ! Such conclusions.
Statue of limitations is minimal 20 years.
And there is no proof of dead let alone murder.

And unlike the U.S. media is reporting this case has NOT been closed. The 3 suspects are no longer OFFICIAL suspects. That is IT !

I am reminding you not to visit Aruba but DO get your facts STRAIGHT and research the country's laws BEFORE coming to such conclusions !

Yeah....thats what you should do.....check facts before we come... "Gee honey, Aruba or St. Thomas this year?........"Oh I dont know dear, did you check the Murder laws"?

Nice job on this one MON, your country really showed what it is made of. What is the tourist rate down 60-80 percent?

You people couln't run a fever much less an investigation.

So, if someone wants to murder a person, then go to Aruba with them and murder them. You can lie about it for a little while and then be done with it. I wouldn't go to Aruba for all the tea in China.

They're a dutch colony,so they obviously got all the dope in Amsterdam at their disposal to blow a simple murder investigation.Let's hear it for the greatest law enforcement agency in the world...The Aruba Police Department!

I think that you are 1000% right. Those kids know what happened to Natalee but all of them are probably scared to go to jail, so they are saying "I was with her, but I don't know where she is." Oh please, that is just a load of crap!

Very sad situation. They messed up a murder investigation of a tourist in Bermuda as well. I will be staying out of both islands. Crime is up in the islands especially Jamaica (Kingston is a no go zone) and the Bahamas.

Americans should boycott Aruba. They obviously don't care very much when an American citizen is murdered. Having said that, It's a shame young women don't have the brains they are born with in some instances. She was pathetically stupid to go with 3 men who she just met. As Forrest Gump states, "Stupid is as stupid does."

Actually what this whole incident tells you is H.S. boyz will love Aruba while keep your daughters at home(e).

Yes, yes a double standard to be sure, but since when have boyz and girlz truly been treated equally.

They still use the words slut and whore for girls that get around while boyz are ...."playahz".

So lock your daughter up and send the boyz with some "extra" Trojans!

lol

Boycott Aruba? Methinks the crime rate there is much lower than that of the U.S. I'll take my chances.

I can't get worked up over Natalee Holloway. It is sad, definitely, but unfortunately she was the victim of a number of circumstances not the least of which was self-created.
