We're now being warned that AGW is likely to cause earthquakes, tsunamis, avalanches and volcanic eruptions, almost everything except a falling sky.
Weird, I thought we had those already?

Earth's geology is always changing, always has, always will and if a few degrees of warming accellerates the process, so be it, we're not in control.

Talking about reaching. They talk about the ice sheets like they are alll going to melt in the next year and like every volcano on the planet is goig to become active. The only thing they didn't figure out how to pin on this was a astroid strike. Which means they were not trying hard enought.

When your warning about the planet flooding are proven to be nothing but hype you have to come up with other troubles that you can blame on CO2. It would be interesting to see how they managed to link increased volcanic activity to CO2. Talk about a long chain of reasoning. But the longer the chain the weaker it is.

Of course there will be volcanic eruptions along with other events. After all like climate geologic activity will slow has never stopped. California will have earthquakes including the long predicted "Big One". Other Mega disasters will eventually happen. Just as they have happened in the past.

And we will be passing through the galactic equator in 2012. I'm sure we can correlate that event with something.

More plastic and duct tape? Canister mask for everyone? It's foolish to prepare for armageddon but it would be wise to lean more on efficiency and low carbon energy, for more reasons than just to try combatting GW.

The Mayan calendar peut etre?
I've reserved my seat for the next end of world day.

Just imagine if the Mayans had survived, we'd have been travelling to the other side of the universe by now.

Not even the Mayans could have changed the course of the earth, our solar system or our galaxy. They did however make some astounding observations.

Or learn how to plant a few more green things.

Lets face it your type is the one always predicting a natural Armageddon for over a century and only changing the source.

Fear of the future is a natural human failing, this latest scare is nothing new, except that it has had more media coverage than any scare that preceded it and a lot more people have seen $ signs sprouting out of it.

Anyone with a business likely to profit from this scare will certainly go out of their way to promote it.

Denial of change out of fear is a failing. It never works so give it up and stop making excuses.

Actually, it is. The consequences of shifting planetary mass from ice sheet melting, temperature change, and other factors has never been found on such a short time scale before.

Dangers and forecasts of danger are what separate us from animals. "time binding' is the technical term. Being able to see problems and opportunities before they occur.

Not sure what you're on about there.

Plus fear of the unknown, how come you forgot to mention that?

Odd, you made a bad attempt at answering that in your next sentence.
