Voice of Sanity: Shut up.
The baby was a U.S national, he doesn't need paper works like his mother to enter U.S soil, and the immigration air heads would had allow the nurse to accompany the baby to the hospital while they detained the mother. What? didn't anyone consider that the baby was free to enter U.S.A any time, because he was a U.S. national? The mom wasn't thinking of "Jackpot", she was thinking that her son's medical condition will then improve because he is in Honolulu, Hawaii which has one of the best Hospital's. The hell with paper works,I think they'er just covering up for their mistake.I hope one of their childern gets to pay for what they've done. You do know that "What goes around comes around." |

Well I agree that the guilty parties deserve to pay for what they did, but their inocent children should not have to pay, after all those little ones had nothing to do with it. |

1 and denying the baby the right to seek medical treatment is left to the custom agents to decide? Remember it is the mother who had problems with her paper works. The nurse and the baby, on the otherhand, should have been released to go to the hospital. |

Then they should subpoena all those on duty that day. What time did the flight arrive? What where the procedures that clearly where not followed. Who initiated these procedures and those who are responsible should be fired as part of the Futi settlement. Never to be able to apply or obtain another Federal Govenment Position again!!! It appears that there may be a criminal conspriacy here. There are plenty questions that appears not be have been answered here. Who was involved that fateful day for that child. We want those who wear the brass inside that airport to pay with their careers! |

A 72-year-old airline passenger from China died Saturday after being detained by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers, the second such incident at Honolulu International Airport this year.
Nanxi Ye, a visitor from Wanzhou, China, was detained by Customs officers shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday because of an issue with his passport, said an official who asked not to be identified, citing an ongoing investigation. At about noon, Ye complained of shortness of breath and collapsed. Emergency medical personnel at the airport were summoned.... The incident happened nearly eight months after a 14-day-old boy from American Samoa who was flown here for medical treatment died after he and his mother were detained at the airport. And to think, we've been looking at China as one of a very few potential growth markets for tourism...(sigh |
