Hi Tonga 4 Life
I was born & raised in Tonga only came here to Uni went back work in Tonga, came back for more then back working in Tonga... now I am here working,,but I have kids like you who belong to two culture..so I did make sure I take them to Tonga so they fully know & live there Tongan culture.. when people do not know their culture unfortunately they seem to float not knowing where they belong..
People in Tonga want to change copying the palangi sometime not knowing their fiepangi..got nothing to-do with the palangi culture..you come from both so you know what I mean..its a matter of respecting both and know whats right whats wrong..Palangi culture is fine..for the palangi and those who know..Our Tongan culture is a wonderful culture based on sharing, love and being a family being humane..it also have tapu as a form of control..so things are inorder.. Its a culture which exist for thousands of years..will still exist if we want it to be or ensure thats it will.. some ???? people want it overhall I do not know why ?? I guess they do not really know our own culture
Cheers & best regards
Ofa atu..
Hi Moana A Maui,

So glad to hear from you and apologies for the late reply....
You're right about our people....I'm just grateful that we're on the same boat sailing towards one direction with an aim to prevail our customs&traditions though our island has been strikes by many factors and influences from the outside world!
I wish you luck for being a parent who raises kids of two cultures! May God empower you and guide you while you are in such a difficult background.....
Do remember that Tonga is on the move but our future is in our own hands! Our Life is Our Choice...

'God grant me Serenity
to accept the things i cannot change
Courage to change the things i can
and Wisdom to know the differences'

'Ofa lahi Atu mo e Hufaki kiate koe Moana-a-Maui pea mo e famili pea pehe foki ki he Tonga kotoa 'oku mou 'i he konitineniti ko 'Aositelelia!

Because Supatopa's family is rich, they work the yards in America and change the nappies of old people. After the tsunami, all his family had no toilets so they had to shit in the bush and wipe their asses with rock since all the newspaper were wet.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Sagittarius

Moodiness is never far away today, making you over-react to problems and giving you a tendency to take out your feelings on your nearest and dearest. If someone asks you what's really wrong, you'll struggle to explain and may even have to give up because you can't put it into words. It's like an itch that you can't scratch, and you don't know where it stems from or what it means.
