Are Nigerians really the happiest people on earth?Temple C. Ubochi,...
You can t beat a child and expect him or her not to cry. Happiness is like a sunbeam, which the least shadow intercepts, while adversity is often as the rain of spring. via Nigeriaworld

WHATEVER...SOME OF YOU NIGERIANS THINK THAT YOU ARE THE BEST IS BECAUSE SOME OF YOU ARE CROOKS! NIGERIA IS A DANGEROUS PLACE TO VISIT! I'VE VISIT GHANA ALL THE TIME,AND MY HUSBAND IS FROM GHANA! GO-GO GHANA,GHANA IS THE BEST! |

Hey..anyone can tell me. Is Port Harcourt safe enough for working ?

I'm not sure it's such a happy place for women though - young girls married off at 12, married men practicing polygamy, women unable to inherit land, many women barred from basic education.

YES
The thing about Nigeria is that our men and women have such strong and resilient minds. We treat our women the best and our women treat our men the best. Women of other countries love Nigerian men because we spoil women with gifts and are good in bed. The average non-Nigerian will cry over a dead dog or cat. The Nigerian will say "get another cat or dog already". Nigerians are also very confident and willing to confront life and look at life more positively than other people. That is why Nigerians are the happiest. |

Sorry, my English is terrible. I, m so unhappy with the situation in Port Harcourt, for me was two times a longgoing unhappy stai in this town. I know happy peaple is living everywhere,so in Port Harcourt too.But i understude ,without a lot of money you are specialy in this town nowbody without any right. Ar you rich or important, so you have to feer for yours and your familys life. I was trying two time to bee happy in Nigeria, i will come back and try again! I know finaly what can make me happy:walking free in the road, a smile from sombody i dont know befor, people with open heart and mind to help me understanding and loving Nigeria. This i hope to can found next time ,and also a finaly reopen international airport, this story its a blame for whole Nigeria and nothing to bee happy! At least you are a strong believer! I'm a Northern European married to a Nigerian woman, and you are right, she treats me the best! But I have to disappoint you, it does not go for the way you Nigerian men treat your women...And as for being so good in bed, it's not all about being hung like a horse...Apart from that Nigerians are great, but get your act together and start treating your women as equals! |

Off course, Nigerians are the happiest people on earth. For those that are ignorant, especially the lady who said Nigerian men are the happiest because they are crooks, go back to reality. Tell me in what country on earth there are no crook? do you research proparly and come back here to appologize to the millions of hard working Nigerians, who have a honest way of making millions. Back to the main issue, we Nigerians are happy because we are the most optimistic people I have ever come across in my life. It is a Nigerian person you will find, who is yet to eat breakfast at 4:00p.m., who will tell you that everything will be alright.

U know what, your problem is ignorance, you need go back to school and learn more about Nigeria. |
Are you sure you are describing Nigeria or Iran, or Sudan. I sincerly do not think it is the Nigeria I know you are talking about. |

You're very right, becuase if not anything, at least being a Nigerian and resident in Nigeria would make one happy . The only set of Nigerians who are not happy are those of us resident outside Nigeria . One would never know what Nigeria is until he leaves the country and get himself in the midst of the enemies of the black race . Now I always shout "no wonder Obafemi Awolowo came back, live and later slept with his fathers in his village . Okpara, Azikiwe, Ademola, Williams and a host of them, all came back and resided in Nigeria until their transition . Because one can never be happy when he's living with people who always think you're inferior being, and treat you that way even if you're ten times better than them . |

So... don't men practice polygamy in nigeria? And aren't women barred from inheriting land? |
|
How that translated in my experience: Nigerian man: You will have sex with me now. Me: No, I don't want to do that. Nigerian man: Then let us go back to yours so I can have sex. Me: No, I really don't want to.(Man storms off - calls back 2 weeks later) Nigerian man: I cannot get to know you in a pub or a restaurant because it is not private enough. I want to make love to you... (Cycle repeated until I cut off all contact with him) |

Men practice polygamy in America even though it is illegal so stop being ignorant. |
So... that's an admission that men practice polygamy in Nigeria? And aren't women barred from inheriting land? |

People like you make it seems as if only African do this but it done in America. I don't think it should be practiced at all. I was watching Oprah and this WHITE male was married to three women just two weeks ago. |

To answer your last question, it based on the family decision. I can't answer it because I not sure what every family does. |
