While we generally applauded the election of
Barack Obama, those of us on the left worried about his hawkish foreign policy regarding Afghanistan.. There was hope that some of that was campaign rhetoric, and that after the election he would pursue the diplomacy he also stressed rather than seek military solutions, especially in Afghanistan. We were wrong. Appropriately, this is sung to a tune from another war, World War I -- "Oh, Johnny"] Oh BAMA, Oh BAMA YOU WERE NO DOVE O BAMA WE THOUGHT WHEN PUSH COMES TO SHOVE THAT YOU WOULD END THE AFGHAN WAR INSTEAD YOU OUT-HAWKED GEORGE - "OUR MISSION IS ACCOMPLISHED" - BUSH AND\ Oh BAMA, Oh BAMA YOU'VE GOT YOUR SURGE AND THE CASUALTIES WILL MOUNT YOU'RE A LIBERAL THAT'S TRUE BUT WILL WE RE-ELECT YOU? IT'S NO, BAMA, NO BAMA, NO!!! |

Sure, most of you right wing zealots want a war escalation... Look how well it worked in Iraq...They are heading for a civil war and all that we accomplished in that sandbox will be up in smoke...
Get the hell out of Afghanistan, now. It's a lost cause....the blood of our youth, so misguided, is not worth the plight of middleeasterners... No one, not us, won any Iraq war.... That 'war' only made some rich people even richer. |

We have a big problem here Obama thinks ever thing is his to decide. The problem is he can not decide.

1 he can't decide 'cause he ain't a decider. |

He can't just vote 'present' on this.
Make a damn decision already and either send more troops or pull everyone out, but DO SOMETHING! |

You summed it up. 'Commander-in-Chief'? What's he ever 'commanded', short of a union rally in Chicago? |

he must end this war and get out of this Afghanistan, give humanitarian aid for these poor Afghans and rebuild their country if he must stick there and end this crime against humanity commited by usa and ussmen.

we should withdraw from afganistan, if we did not start this war, its safe for me to say, we SHOULD certainly end it - anything else would be politcal penalty

Obama can not decide who we are at war with. The shooter in Fort Hood was a solider of Islam. He gave their saying as he executed are troops. Were at war with Islam not the Counrties. Just like we have east west germany we have good and bad in this Religion. If these people in the Religion would help us in stead of supporting the murderer this war could end. |
