The heads of the House and Senate intelligence committees on Sunday declared that the Taliban had grown stronger since President Barack Obama's deployment of 33,000 more troops to Afghanistan in 2010.

And there are those who believe in that struggle but I know also that a significant part of the population shudder at the thought of the Taliban assuming power again. I would like to see our boys come home to be honest but we have a war going on that is fought not just for national security interests but in the interests of the afghan citizen. But if they do not appreciate a u.s. presence then let's bring the troops home.

Now we're forced into an ever more defensive posture as the natives continue to harass us. 1 US combat operative in the Iraq/Afganistan theatre attempts suicide evey 18 hours. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/news/fulls...
