MUQ this is what I posted , No where does it say in any sharia laws that you are not allowed to eat Camel meat, although Saudi Arabs do not eat Camel meat. The Australian Jewish News yesterday quoted Raphael Israeli as saying Australia should cap Muslim immigration or risk being swamped by Indonesians. Professor Israeli told the Herald that was a misunderstanding. But he said: "When the Muslim population gets to a critical mass you have problems. That is a general rule, so if it applies everywhere it applies in Australia." Professor Israeli, an expert on Islamic history from Hebrew University in Jerusalem, has been brought to Australia by the Shalom Institute of the University of NSW. The Australia-Israel Jewish Affairs Council is co-hosting many of his activities. He said Muslim immigrants had a reputation for manipulating the values of Western countries, taking advantage of their hospitality and tolerance. "Greeks or Italians or Jews don't use violence. There is no Italian or Jewish Hilaly [a reference to the controversial cleric Sheik Taj el-Din al Hilaly of Lakemba mosque]. Why?" Professor Israeli said that when the Muslim population increased, so did the risk of violence. "Where there are large Muslim populations who are prepared to use violence you are in trouble. If there is only 1 or 2 per cent they don't dare to do it - they don't have the backing of big communities. They know they are drowned in the environment of non-Muslims and are better behaved." In Australia, Muslims account for about 1.5 per cent of the population. Professor Israeli said that in France, which has the highest proportion of Muslims in Europe at about 10 per cent, it was already too late. There were regions even the police were scared to enter, and militant Muslims were changing the country's political, economic and cultural fabric, and demanding anti-Semitic and anti-Israel policies. "French people say they are strangers in their own country. This is a point of no return. "If you are on a collision course, what can you do? You can't put them all in prison, and anyway they are not all violent. You can't send them all back. You are really in trouble. It's irreversible." Professor Israeli said that in Australia a few imams had preached violence. "You should not let fundamentalist imams come here. Screen them 1000 times before they are admitted, and after they are admitted screen what they say in the mosque." He said some Muslims wanted to impose sharia (Islamic law) in their adopted countries, and when propaganda did not work they turned to intimidation. Professor Israeli said his task was to describe, not prescribe. He also said his warning did not include immigrants, including Muslims, who simply wanted to improve their lot. As long as they respected the law and democracy, their numbers — Buddhist, Muslim or Jew — were immaterial. It became material when a group accepted violence. "The trains in London and Madrid were not blown up by Christians or Buddhists but by Muslims, so it is them we have to beware," he said. |

Australian Senator Nicholas Xenophon has confirmed he will sue the New Straits Times (NST), accusing the Umno-controlled Malaysian daily of jeopardising his safety by publishing an article portraying him as anti-Islam. The independent lawmaker said he was aware of the newspaper’s decision to retract its report but said he would still seek legal redress in either or both Australia and Malaysia. “I will be conferring with both Malaysian and Australian lawyers on this.“This is a very serious defamation and it is distressing. “My views on Islam were completely fabrication... I am sickened,” he said in a phone call to The Malaysian Insider yesterday. The NST had yesterday admitted to having falsely quoted Xenophon (picture) in its article on Wednesday as calling Islam a “criminal organisation” during his 2009 speech in Australia’s Parliament. But according to Hansard, the senator, a known associate of Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, had instead used the label to criticise “Scientology”. “Of course this has become a danger to me. I have been accused of something incredibly serious... of disparaging Islam in the most disgusting way. “I have already been advised that my safety is now in danger,” he said. Xenophon pointed out that although NST had pulled its article from its website, it had already likely been read by thousands of netizens. He stressed that he was in no way against Islam and instead has great respect for the religion. “How could they do this?” he asked.“I have tremendous respect for the people of Malaysia... Malaysians are my friends.” He added that he had been in Malaysia as a part of the opposition-commissioned international team of observers during the Bersih 3.0 weekend, not merely on invitation but due to his “passion” for the country and its people. “So this is something I must do, something I need. I need a court ruling on what had occurred,” he said, referring to his decision to proceed with the legal suit. When asked, however, if he would seek out the Malaysian government to mete punitive action against the NST, Xenophon said he would first consult his lawyers. But he said the fact that the prominent English daily is Umno-owned “adds seriousness to the case”. “I cannot fathom how they would stoop this low,” he said. In its response to the incident yesterday, the NST had also pledged to publish an “appropriate statement” on the issue both in its print and online versions, adding its regret to any distress the incident may have caused the independent Australian senator. |

The US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has condemned a course taught against Islam at one of America's top military schools as "totally objectionable,” Press TV reports. According to the BBC, the story, which was first broken by Wired website, has been astonishing enough to enrage General Martin Dempsey. The “Perspectives on Islam and Islamic Radicalism” course for senior officers was taught at the Joint Forces Staff College in Norfolk, Virginia, for a year. The instructor, Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Dooley, taught officers there was no such thing as moderate Islam and that they should consider the religion their enemy. The course advocated "total war" against all the world's Muslims, including possible nuclear attacks on the holy cities of Mecca and Medina and the wiping out of civilian populations. The Pentagon has confirmed the course material found on their website is authentic. Following the incident, Dempsey has ordered a full investigation into what other US military schools might be teaching about this religion. “As far as I can see this is not intended in any sense as a rather sick academic exercise in stretching the bounds of what could be thought. It is actually what the officer teaching it believes,” said senior British journalist, Mark Mardell. In other words, he said, the contents of the course were “completely nutty stuff that would disgrace the wilder fringes of the blogosphere.” General Dempsey described the course as "counter to our values of appreciation for religious freedom and cultural awareness" and "just objectionable, academically irresponsible." It came to light when one of the officers on the course complained last month. There is now an investigation into how the course was approved and why it was part of the curriculum. A lieutenant colonel has been suspended from teaching, but for the moment keeps his job. The Pentagon hopes a full report will be out by the end of the month. “What does seem rather surprising is that all those commanders, captains and colonels must have sat through the course and not felt the need to tell someone that something rather weird was going on,” Mardell concluded. |

Well the whole "weapons of mass desctruction" as we know was a blatant lie and it was disgraceful in that it was used by Bush and Blair.(even if there was a mad dictator at the helm of Iraq) However, the continued terroist attacks and in particular 9/11 simply confirmed what US press releases (or propaganda from which viewpoint you look at it I guess) had been relaying to the public. Once again, the terrorists played right into and continue to do so, to US hands. Once 9/11 occurred, there was no chance that retaliation was not going to happen and who could blame the USA for that at that time. Not one person. Who will remember all the allied soldiers names that have died or even a basic headcount? What will post traumatic stress really cost USA and allied forces? Who will remember or know the uknown costs to civilian lives in those countries?What will it ultimately achieve in the long run-who knows? The first thing in war is the dehumanisation of that country,it is so much easier to go into battle if one is presented as a mere animal. When the puppets/muslim population indulge in terrorism or hateful behaviour, they are dehumanising themslevesto the people who could influence those powers to stop, the USA etc don't even have to win that PR battle, that particular group of muslims are doing it for them. Just like the west don't get tribal/religious factions are something they will never be able to fix in Africa/middle east, muslims who indulge in such behaviour just don't get that the behaviour is not only expected but they are giving the allied factions a HUGE "I TOLD YOU SO" boost. Even now, the apprehension about muslims in Australia appears to be growing, not subsiding so the real war (for hearts and minds) is being lost by muslims through ignorance of not knowing what really makes westerners tick-and it's not through violence. |

The average cost of filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection is about $1,500-$300 just for the paperwork fees in court and the rest to pay for a lawyer. Bankruptcy is considered a "last financial lifeline" and without it, destitute Americans are seeing their debt snowball. The price of declaring bankruptcy has risen since the passage of the 2005 Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act, which aimed to decrease bankruptcies by adding obstacles. The bankruptcy rate did slightly dip, but only because "the people with lower incomes can't afford to file," said the study's co-author.
