Of course they want us out. Now that we rebuilt the infrastructure, they don't want to give us the oil. And that is why we went there in the first place - to steal the oil. Curses! Foiled again.

I am sick of the mainstream media making statements like "Violence in Iraq has fallen to its lowest level in four years. The change has been driven by the 2007 buildup of American forces, the Sunni tribal revolt against al-Qaida in Iraq and crackdowns against Shiite militias and Sunni extremists." The Iraqis are just as sick of the occupation as everyone else. They are people. They want to have jobs and create families. I wish the media would recognize that it is an occupation and not a "war" and that we are just there for the oil, it was always and ONLY about the oil. Not about Al Queda, not about 9/11, not about any of that. If we wanted to go after the terrrorists, we would have had to go to Saudi Arabia, and we just were never gonna do that.
Let's move on. We have MAJOR problems in this country. Finish stealing the oil, or not.
Oh, and one other thing - stop calling that crazy old nutbag John McCain "Maverick!:

I agree, stop calling it a "war" and start calling it an "occupation."
I can just see Cheney now, on inauguration day to Obama - "okay, go get the oil, boy."

I think we keep forgetting that it is their country. Past time for us to get out. The only real success in making the place what they want is to do it themselves.

Make love, not war. I guess we don't need Obama now, especially since he has changed his outlook on the war.

U.S. Warns Of Stronger Al-Qaeda
Administration Report Cites Havens in Pakistan
July 12, 2007 http://tinyurl.com/2nuu4y
Six years after the Bush administration declared war on al-Qaeda, the terrorist network is gaining strength and has established a safe haven in remote tribal areas of western Pakistan for training and planning attacks, according to a new Bush administration intelligence report to be discussed today at a White House meeting.
The report, a five-page threat assessment compiled by the National Counterterrorism Center, is titled "Al-Qaida Better Positioned to Strike the West," intelligence officials said. It concludes that the group has significantly rebuilt itself despite concerted U.S. attempts to smash the network.

What a joke! We went there to commandeer the oil. We have done so. We keep troops there to guard it like a dog guarding it's bone, so that Russia, China, or anyone else don't get any ideas. We are going to stay ther guarding it. Any incoming president elect that appears he will not acquiesce to this, well let's just say "unfortunate technical failure" may one day be a CNN Headline. That's if the CommanDEER in Chief doesn't declare martial law "for the good of the nation" and keep himself at his hooligans in office. And you guys all think he's just a dummie. I think we may all find out before much longer who the real dummies were ....

What a bunch of ingrates! We bomb their cities into rubble and slaughter their children in their beds with smart bombs - and they don't come out to greet us with flowers like Rumsfeld said they would! Then we dismantle their security forces and political structures, and the entire country collapses into sectarian slaughter - and they don't seem to love us for that, either! Then we start pumping out their oil so that our big Republican corporatist masters and their corrupt, collaborationist ministers in Iraq can line their pockets with it - and, shees, they;re STILL not appropriately thankful. Now they actually want us to LEAVE! Ingrates, indeed.

What excuse does Bush have, now, to keep our troops there? The Iraqis want us out and it's still their country, so get the He** out!
Sorry Mr. Bush and Mr. Chaney, but you've made your little fortunes and it's time to leave.
