Report: Russia mulls sending bombers to Cuba

Russia is getting more and more isolated from the civilized world as the KGB style ruled socialistic country where the people have very little civil rights if any.
Russia became the patron of the Iranian radical Islamic regime of Ahmadinajad and the Syrian regime by helping those getting nukes and dirty bombs in the hands of the Islamic terrorists.
The new US anti-missile defense system is bad news to the axis of evil that consists of Putin, Assad and Ahmadinajad that realize that missiles with nuke warheads that will be launched from Iran or from an Iranian submarine in the Persian golf will be destroyed above Iran causing humanitarian disaster to the Iranian people.
Putin is so mad about his failure to get ‘rich’ from the oil sales when US is turning toward energy independence by US own domestic oil drilling and production so he decided to send his old aircrafts from the era of the Soviet Union so that the world will not forget who Putin was. However, with oil prices going down, Russia will need alternative source of income to cover the flight of its aircrafts to Cuba that is bad news for the Russian tyrant regime.

Notice how nothing upsets them more than our ability to defend ourselves. If he puts nuclear bombers in Cuba, doesn't that violate our agreement after the 1962 missile crisis? Or isn't there any longer an agreement since the USSR is over and done?

Fear not. Those bombers are tinker-toys by US standards. They're not stealth and we know the instant they take off. Once they do, don't even bother to return to Cuba. All you'll find is a glowing pile of ashes.

Does Russia not remember the Cuban missile crisis? It is sad to see Russia slide back into its old cold war posture, and it is sad to see the average Russian citizen pay for stupid moves like this one and the Chavez alliance.

Building a defense system seems benign compared to pre-staging bombers 90 miles off the coast. That seems more like an act of aggression to me. If this is a posturing exercise, the Russian government needs to learn the new paradigm.

I agree, they do have a history of their aircraft falling out of the sky, subs drowning, and ships sinking.

However, I hope they don't go that route.
