Puerto Rican Parade is Sunday -- Festive Event, Florida

OMG. It's 9:00 a.m. and not even one single conservative bigoted anti-Hispanic racist comment yet about the parade. There is hope for change after all.

David, unfortunatley it did not last to long. I get a kick out of reading the racist reply's from people as if just any one race has the killers, drug dealers, rapist, etc. Until they are able to realize that their lives are crappy because they want it to be, they are going to keep blaming, stereotyping, accusing.

If Puerto Rico is so great, why don't they all just go back? Could you hear the uproar if we held an "All White American Day " parade.

you can't have an all white american day because all white americans cannot be lumped into the same category. There are plenty of people who stand proud of their Greek heritage and have festivals to celebrate it. I am not sure what they do in Orlando, but in NY, there is an Italian heritage festival, an Irish festival, and I think there is even a Ukranian parade. No one has a problem with any of them because there is nothing wrong with celebrating one's culture. I am not sure why it is such a big problem when certain cultures celebrate their heritage. I hope one day we can learn to appreciate the different cultures that make up our country.

Funny how groups who have the least to be proud of are the ones that have the most of these types of events.

So all conservatives are bigots or all bigots are conservative? Why do you use both words in the same sentence. Plenty of liberals are bigots. Just look at Barack Hussein Obama bin Laden. The most liberal senator in the senate who is also the most bigoted black man on the face of the earth.

As a white, german-american male, I think it's great that the people who are here from the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. As Commonwealth subjects, they are appreciative to be in a country, such as these United States. No more being just common islanders who had a government, known as the PDP, running their island yet with little benefits. Now here, these people can finally join a true and free society and celebrate their good fortune. Their arrival here marks the end of their awful lives on an island Commonwealth, no doubt supressed and unable to fiesta every weekend. Here, they are given their freedom, finally, to do as they wish.
Ours is not to criticize these people, nay, it is ours to promote and lift their spirits up by giving them their true rights to hold fiestas, ever weekend, between Orkando and Kissimmee. You will see that one day, they may even learn to respect this country and land of opportunity and hold high the flag of these United States, rather than that of a paultry Commonwealth.
I side with the people! Viva Fiesta!

The Irish and Italians had to work long and hard to overcome the stereotpes they faced in this country. The Hispanics and blacks have made no such efforts, and have instead created a tidal wave of crime that gains strength every day.
