So build the fence and close the border. Leaving the damned thing open isn't doing either side any good.

So what are you thinkin"?

Politicos don't see it that way.

This is a world economy and a free flow of commerce cannot be denied. open the gates and let the poison for our children enter freely.
Lobotomies must be very common in public political figures.

Get the fence built, electrify it, surround it with mines and snipers,

For a country where guns are illegal, they sure do have plenty of them. I know its the US's fault as is every other problem Mexico has.

Snipers sound good...oh and electrafying the fence is a good idea. Just like Jurassic Park, lol.
I think they should just build the wall, and close the doors.
but that's just my opinion.

Just in case no one has figured this out the drug cartels are going to overthrow the mexican government. The cartels have more money and more and better trained solders than the Mexican government. Nobody has heard of any of them being caught or killed yet.

I would guess you are right.

The drug cartels have music groups like Los Tigres del Norte and all the big Mexican stars glofifying them, praising their deeds, promoting the drug culture, and even many Mexicans living in the USA run right out and buy their music further promoting the glamourization of the drug cartels.

Then you have the Mexicans abandoning their country right and left in pursuit of American dollars and welfare handouts, and the ones who stay are the ones who will end up deciding their country's fate.

Much illegal immigration is about getting drugs quickly over the border and into every American city and town, and the Mexican government doesn't want to end that. They know full well that America doesn't need 30 million lettuce pickers. And everyone knows that the Mexican barrio part of town is where the drugs are sold.

You must be an ignorant person to think building a fence and closing the border will solve anything. It would be like saying build a wall at your house and close your bank accounts so you don't get any bills! I think you were one of the person's that voted for Bush? You know I'm right on the money.

What the Paper neglected to write is that one of the murdered victims was still alive after the ambush, he called his wife and told her the local police drove by the scene and didn't stop to help, what did happen was that minutes later the gunmen came back and finished him off. That is something to think about, how do the gunmen know when to get to town and execute the killings? Also how is it that no military out at that time? Maybe it's the military doing the killings?

The gun battles are just one aspect of lawlessness in Palomas. Those “students” that the article mentions are ripping off the State of New Mexico and the school districts of Columbus and Deming to the tune of about $2,380,0000 per year. The cost is picked up by New Mexico taxpayers.

Just because a student is a U.S. citizen (anchor baby), does not exempt him/her from payment of tuition to a public school. He/she must reside in the school district where he/she attends, or else pay tuition. The law is the same in Texas as NM. Dereliction of duty by the Immigration Inspectors pervades both states.

The Immigration port directors at Columbus and elsewhere have not done their duty in protecting American taxpayers from being ripped off by residents of Mexico who get a free education in the U.S. ICE knows this, but the free education for residents of Mexico at the various ports of entry has gone on for several decades and no one has the guts to report the students who are not paying tuition. In Arizona, I knew of one superintendent who cared. On occasion he'd go down to the port before the school bus came and identify the students coming though a hole in the fence before the POE opened.

It is the job of the CBP officers at the port entry to establish the admissability of people and things that enter the U.S. United States citizens (including those living abroad) are allowed to enter the U.S. freely. The issue of taxpayers educating children who do not live within the boundaries of the school district (be it from a neighboring community or country)is an issue you should take up with the individual school districts. This is not a port of entry matter.

I think you need to show up to the port of entry and protest, i wonder how many people would back you up? You need to do a little more digging as Mexican citizens need to have an education visa to get in to any school in the US. But that isn't something you would know since you live 10 hours from the port of entry.

Well you can just move your trailer a few feet and there will be no grass. Saves you money on cutting grass and you have a brand new view to look out your broken window.

Totally stupid to compare Americans on welfare with Mexicans on welfare. The Americans are citizens of the USA, and if the USA wishes to have a safety net for it's citizens, that's completely different than the entire impoverished population of the world thinking they are entitled to get in on it.

Just as stupid for an American to say look at Mexicans getting some kind of help from their government and thinking that would entitle Americans to be trying to take that same help.

You and "Mexican" are posting from within the USA, so I think we can all assume you care more for American dollars than you do for what is happening to your own country.

The problem is, the fate of Mexico will be in the hands of the people of that country who still live there. One of the biggest problems Mexico has is that it's citizens don't care enough to stay there and work to make it a better place.
