Biff, Is that which you've just described supposed to be the WMD development program over which we went to war? Do you not remember how those weapons were described by Cheney? and the President? and Powell? and Rice? and Rumsfeld? I can't believe that you are claiming that this piddling amount of weapons proves that Iraq was a threat.

That was just one example. I've read the declaration of war, you can find it on the State Departments' website. I know what it says. If that example of weaponry wasn't enough for you, I am sure one of the rogue groups in Iraq would be happy to send one your way. I wasn't referring to some dinky 'shoulder to air' dart.

The 4,000 number - are you refering to the number of American citizens killed in cites controlled by the democrates? Or the number of American's killed by prescription drugs? or the number unborn killed in American "clinics"?
NO as those numbers are far greater than the number of American Soldiers who have died saving your sorry butt so you can spin their deaths into your political bull.
I didn't realize murders only happen in cities with Democrat mayors. I'll have to keep that in mind. So the soldiers died saving us from Iraq? Was Iraq planning to attack us? Change your screen name if you're going to post garbage like this.

According to FBI statistics, over 18,000 people were murdered in 1997.
Thats in the USA and most were in cities controlled and run by Surrendercrats.
Great point. The billions we are spending in Iraq would have been far better spent on law enforcement here. I'm glad you've seen the light.

I certainly remember what was said in the Declaration of War, it can also be found at the State Departments' website. I wasn't talking about some dinky shoulder fired missile...
What makes you think, all of a sudden Iraq wasn't a threat?

Do you think Bush or Cheney care about these soldiers? certainly not.You are claiming that the liberals are putting a spin on this(and dont go bothering to claim me as one...i claim neither liberal or conservative)The people in charge dont give a shit how many lives are lost in their pursuit towards whatever goal theyre after. My dad must walk on crutches for the rest of his life, and i have to worry bout my lil brother coming home here shortly when he leaves for iraq. and no one can give me an explanation on why. Also, its painfully obvious the american public wants us out of iraq, and yet Bush/cheney refuse to get off their horses and admit they made a mistake.

The people who say Saddam was no threat are blinded by their hatred of Bush. They obviously did not know of the Kurds being killed by chemicals, nor the fact that he was shooting at our Air Force which was enforcing the no fly zone (which was implemented to contain his killing Iraqi's), nor do they understand that the sanctions were ending and he would have had the money to continue his nuclear ambitions, nor do they know of the hundreds and hundreds of sucide vests that were uncovered ( saddam was gonna use those for his birthday party celebrations), nor do the Bush haters know of the airliner that was in the terrorists training facility (perhaps they were using that for stewardess training for American Airlines). Wake up
The people who need to be reminded that during the Reagan administration Saddam Hussein was Uncle Sam's best buddy have a lot of explaining to do to the Iraqis.

And the final number is
82,679 murders in the USA during the past 5 years. That is from 2002 to 2006. Where are all you bleeding heart liberals? Oh you live in those cities. Where is your political spin on these numbers? I realize you would have to question the person you elected into political office. That would put a strain on your hate mind.
You undoubtably blame Bush for your own failures in humanity. Now maybe I shall post the numbers of unborn Americans you so liberally want to kill. That would be in the millions.
You are too interested in spinning the number of people you don't even care about or respect. Your political agenda takes precedent over reality. You liberals don't care about the American Soldier. You democrats despise him. So stop using the deaths of men and women you despise for your pleasure. You sick and twisted liberal. These fallen Americans should be revered and honored as individuals who will never enjoy the blessings of America. Their lives and futures ended in their prime so they should be remembered and written about as heros.
As opposed to you sweeping them under the rug and trivializing their sacrifice with irrelevant statistics about other people being killed elsewhere?

listen, i cannot see why we ( bush haters ) or liberals are to blame. all you hear from the bush peolpe ( cheney and mccain ) is that our troops are heroes and they deserve our respect. answer me this, why do our wounded soldiers come home treated like they are. thats right, us liberals, go look at walter reed or the other va "care givers". you are so blinded by fox news to ignore. our troops do deserve our respect and honor. they also deserve our care. wait, that would mean a bigger govt. cant have that. look at who has the bigger govt. your friend bush. you need to look at all angles and just dont believe fox news. they are well documented for not giving a damn about telling the truth ( see the reporters court case about being forced to lie or be fired by fox ). theres nothing wrong with being a liberal. id sure rather be that than a republican.( look at the numbers )

We're not after the Iraqi citizens. Yes Saddam was looked upon as a friend in previous administrations, even before Reagan was sworn in. But times change, views change. Look at Iran, they were once BBF's, until their Government was overthrown. That was scary. Look at the USSR and the Republic of Georgia, once long-time neighboring enemies. Now its Russia and the Republic of Georgia getting along, so many years afterward. Circumstances change things.

I thought Bush said we were victorious in Iraq already? So if at any point in time we leave I guess it means we lost. We already invaded and took over the country. I thought that was what Bush wanted.

Are you kidding? So auto accidents are caused by liberals? What does any of this have to do with the war? Stop giving real conservatives a bad name with your stupidity.

Why, may I ask, is a number - be it 1,000, 4,000 or 40,000 reflective of anything more significant than if that same number were one more or one less? A death is a death. And each and every one is truly a tragedy. But the fact of the matter is that war is hell, and people unfortunately die as a result of it. I am personally offended by the media making anymore of an issue with the 4,000th death in Iraq than what they did with the 3,999th. But then again too, what can one expect from a profession that attempts to sensationalize every possible worldly event that it can - even if only in numbers.

The problem isn't that the media made an issue of the 4000th U.S. military death so much as that they are pushing news of the occupation to the back pages and pretty much ignoring the 3,999th and the 3,998th and the 4,001th, etc. These are young Americans who go off to war hoping that somehow they will be making America safe, yet they are put to work doing something which has the opposite effect. Something's wrong here.
