Madonna in Malawi to adopt child, help orphans

Pop diva Madonna arrived in Malawi on Wednesday to adopt an African child and fund an orphan center for 1,000 children, many of whom lost parents to AIDS.

We have thousands of children here at home she could/should be helping
(not to say malawi children dont need,just charity should start at home

Humans are humans, no matter WHERE they are from.
It's her choice, just as it is Angelina's, to adopt from anywhere on the globe.
Congratulate her compassion and humanitarianism, don't trash it because you feel she should have adopted "American". At the very least, children in America if in orphanages, get food, clothing, shelter, and medical care. This is far from true in other third world countries.

i say good for you madonna .....adopting children of any ethnicity, origin, and background is still helping out, although i do agree there are plenty of impoverished children right here in the U.S. but thats totally for her to decide, children are children and they all need a hand.....bravo

i think that adopting a child from malawi is totally pathetic!!!!!
everyone has their own right to choose where to live. David up there is too young to choose. if madonna wants to adopt him, wait until he grow up!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think that adopting a kid from Malawi is pathetic.But waiting on a poor,hungry child in a poverty and disease stricken country only to get help when he is able to understand what it means is as equally pathetic.
As far as i am concerned,he is too young to chose whether to be helped or not,the same applies on where he lives.
