LessHypeMoreFact wrote: <quoted text> That is the right wing ideology. But they also say that giving them more money will create jobs. Fact is that the regulation are in place because the representatives of the public had to suppress invalid or uncompetitive tactics of the rich who owned those resources and found 'playing fair' was less profitable to THEM. The regulations are to ensure a thriving business, instead of a business whose sole purpose is to take unfair advantage for the owners gain, ususally leading to LESS thriving business. It is like war vs trade. War makes more profits for the dictators and war profiteers, but it destroys the overall economy. Fair trade, on the other hand, brings prosperity to all. Without Government, most roads would not exist. Most rail lines would not exist. Aircraft could not fly for the most part. Some people are just ignorant of history. George Washington surveyed part of and Thomas Jefferson funded portions of the National Highway. And evidently there are some that think those guys were idiots.

We need govt to fight wars not get in the way of business as the Obama administration has done, Don't confuse the government you see today with the government that existed yesterday. The government does a lot of things and maintains the capability to build roads, airfields, airports, water wells (used to be able to drill oil wells), and many other things. Even Thomas Jefferson supported the government doing these things.

Idiocy wrote: <quoted text> Tell that to the Midwest farmers who lost 45% of Apple crops this yr due to cold weather. Just goes to show that there is an optimum temperature that supports agriculture. We do not want it too hot or too cold. Domestic plants have adapted to conditions that closely parallel those of the past few centuries.

Scientists in the IPCC's physical science working group have until 31 July 2012 to submit papers for the IPCC process, so the literature will explode with results from climate simulations over the coming year.

Mothra wrote: <quoted text> Actually, YOUR tomato crop was given as proof. Run along... you waste bandwidth. Trollish poster, I stated a fact. Try to comprehend. It is a fact that tomatoes will not pollinate when the temperatures are too hot. Don't take my work. Look it up. It was unseasonably hot where I live last summer with over 50 days above 100 deg F. Tomato plants did not set fruit. This was found throughout the area with most growers being affected. Even the farmers market had very few tomatoes to peddle. Try to comprehend. The topic was that it can be too hot for some crops to produce. I know it is difficult for you to concentrate, but instead of blowing out the kazoo, as you often do, it would behoove you to close your proverbial mouth and observe and learn.....

SOME PEOPLE keep saying that the economy today is a result of previous Bush's mishandling. IT IS NOT TRUE. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS JUST LOOK AT WHAT OBAMA IS DOING in the economic exercising of borrowing money and building debts to run the economy, and so on. The unemployment of Bush's last 6 month period was 8.2%--highest in all Bush era. Obama's unemployment in the first year was 10.6%, and second year of 9.6% and until recently of 8.1% while building high debt ratio than Bush. You always say the bad economy you have today is like drawing from the past, for example, due to the inheriting the last economic depression in the 40's since they did not have good education a long time ago. Today US ranks very low in Science, Math and other subjects versus many world nations. ON English alone, US does better, since other nations do not use English as first language. However, some of other nations' people still do pretty good if they study in University, or work with English, and they can even do better than the average person in US. But while some other standard requiring oral and written English communication within English-speaking soicety, so many just can't make it in US, as not like used to be. Since Obama has deteriorated the education standard, and that is one of the reason besides making people being ignorant, Obama has made a lot of people falling behind, in many areas , beyond the economic aspects. If Bush would stay another term, he would have done his own recovery as Bush's drop of economic concern was just an immediate, short term momentarily effect which would not strecth over time. The detrimental economic destructuon by Obama could even last longer time , as poeple have not realized. When Romeny takes over the presidency, he will be inheritng not the economy from Bush, but the worse economy from Obama doing it --- worse than Bush had done.

It is obvious that big banks and corporations cannot discipline themselves. Then we all suffer.
