Arruda's comment "I am the victim..." is typical of today's culture. It's so much easier to be the 'victim' rather than assume any accountability for one's own actions. She must be a liberal.

If there are no communicated standards that she has willfully violated then she is a victim. The comments by BJSO (Wonder if he / she watches Fox?) is ignorant because of assumed facts

Ahhh, yes...the typical liberal cannot function without being told exactly how to live his or her life...right down to the proper way to dress for university classes. So much for critical thinking and personal responsibility. Honestly, can an intelligent university student live 20 years on this earth without recognizing any societal cues? Apparently, liberals believe so.

Sounds like she needed to go home and change after getting off work off of the stripper's pole.

My only question is: Is she Hawt? If not, then get home and change into those homely jeans like the rest of the mutts on your campus wear.

Was she 5'2' and 220# or 5'2" and 105#?

This story is worthless without pictures. (Preferably with her wearing tight fitting python boots that snake up to mid-thigh, with stiletto heels.)

The girl may not be 220# but she's still much too large to wear a skirt that short. I can understand why the other students were heckling her - she looks ridiculous!

Is this university run by Opus Dei? How else would Brazilians get worked up by a woman in a short dress?

She could go to OU - they seem to let those idiots get away with anything - locking ra's up, halloween arrests, jumping out of windows...

You've got it all wrong. Liberals don't need to be told how to live their lives at all. We just insist that if you're going to impose rules on us, you spell them out before hand. As a liberal I'd much prefer of the authorities would butt out of personal business and deal with more important issues.

Societal cues can and will shift without notice. If a private university wants to enforce a dress code, they should write it first.

That's a bit extreme, but you know, there's a time and a place. School is not the time or place for those mini-dresses, sorry. I saw one on another campus a few weeks ago that was so short...well, it prompted me to ask if there was a policy on that.

I've seen worse on women at Walmart, and I don't think she looks bad. But even if her dress is shorter than usual, is that any reason for grown ups to heckle another grown up? Sounds like some serious sexism to me. BOO.

Where does personal responsibility start?

The university was well within its rights to expel her.
