Al-Qaida's foreign fighters who have for years bedeviled Iraq are increasingly going to Afghanistan to fight instead, the Iraqi ambassador to the United States said Wednesday.

Glad they are finally leaving. But if we would have stayed out of Iraq in the first place they wouldn't have even went to Iraq.

According to Old McSame - they are streaming across the border between the two countries.

Problem is Iran is between the two countries and is 1100 miles to cross. But let McBush work it - he is on a roll!

Facts don't matter to McBush!

They got their ass kicked with the surge. Plain and simple. This proves that the USA can win this war if we want to.

There NEVER was an Al-Qaida in IRAQ.

Bush essentially "fired" the republican army, in Iraq. Armed, starving, unemployed citizens were mad at the United States for not "Liberating" them. they broke into their religious factions and took violence to the streets. The media was told that it was Al-Qaida and the U.S. citizens ate it up.

This is false news. Al-Qaida's base is and has always been in Afganistain on the border with Pakistain.

i really wish people would wake up and READ a history book about the region circa 1911 when British Petrolum exploited the area then known as Pershia.

Who gives a crap who "exploited" what in 1911. Muslim extremists are killing Americans now, they made an attack on our soil for chrissakes! Maybe you want to bend over and take it, but I don't. I don't want another 9/11. Al Quida can burn in hell. By the way, Al Quida will get it's ass kicked wherever it goes. It will never escape our wrath.

This is the perfect way to bail out from Iraq...pretend the enemy has up and moved elsewhere!
Mission accomplished...we won!!

From now on, all violence in Iraq will be between local factions....that's their problem.
We cleared the country of the terrorists who weren't even there before we invaded, the rest is up to the puppets we installed!

This leaves us free to totally secure the Afghani Opium trade.
As China is now dominating the legal global trade, we can't have them being #1 in the illegal narcotics trade too!

Doesn't anyone find it a bit suspicious that we can put a cruise missile through someones front door keyhole....yet can't contain Afghani opium crops which have a very distinct infra-red signature on sattelite imagery?.
We can massacre countless civilians and call their killings "collateral damage", we can destroy food crops and livestock on a massive scale.....but we can't destroy the opium farms because the poor farmers would suffer!!

Ask anyone who has been based in Afghanistan, there are many US and allied bases stationed within eye-sight of opium crops...yet they are not allowed to touch them.

WHY?

Afghanistan is where our troops could wage a war that makes us safer, not Iraq. Al-Qaida was never in Iraq under Saddam Hussein, and likely was not a major factor among feuding Iraqui factions. Obama had it right in the beginning.

Iraq's government now wants a timetable for the US to leave. They say Obama has it right today.

Our troops and resources need to be in Afghanistan, hunting Bin Laden and taking out the Talliban once and for all. Obama is right about what we must do next.

Barack Obama. Right from the start. Right going forward. Right for America.

Well if they are leaving they only have two choices:

Drive across Iran or via Saudi Arabia to to Yeman to Pakistan.

Either way someone is gonna be a sleepy terrorist when they arrive.

For the 2 (so far) who have marked my above post clueless...have you been to afghanistan in the past few years?
I bet you are both "god damned American patriots"
who think that American patriotism is following their government...not the unwritable feeling from within of the true spirit of being an American. The undescribable knowledge and spirit of being of the ultimate free nation....this has nothing to do with the government now leading the USA, inposing commie style restrictions and pumping out propaganda encouraging its citizens to go to war with every nation on earth.
Think about it, if satan had just one country to concentrate on corrupting...which country would it be?

Why don't they go to Miami, instead? The weather is better there.

Or Canada! Canada could use some of their good sense!
