Iraqi PM says US should leave as soon as possible

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki says U.S. troops should leave Iraq "as soon as possible," according to a magazine report, and he called presidential candidate Barack Obama's suggestion of 16 months "the right timeframe for a withdrawal."

I'm confused, Headlines says, "Iraqi PM says US should leave as soon as possible"

Then the Iraqi PM tells Der Speigel "16 months "the right timeframe for a withdrawal."

In all actuality neither is correct.

Both candidates recommend keeping troops in Iraq to protect against insurgency and incursions.
but no hard decision on the compliment of said troops. However I believe most of the combat troops and their support unit will be home by December 2009 at the latest. Socom and a division may remain for a longer period of time.
Depends on the logistics a operations required.

For the few or many who do not know, Memorial Day is a day to honor "Fallen Soldiers." Those are soldiers who died during wartime. When Barack Obama addressed an audience of Veterans on Memorial Day he said he saw Fallen Soldiers seated in the audience...pathetic.
There are Cub Scouts more qualified to be CINC than Obama, hell there's Girl Scouts more qualified.
Obama voted against the mission in Iraq, he doesn't belong in Iraq and his no-count opinion doesn't belong in Iraq. And based on Obama’s own words and actions and the sleazy euro-socialists backing him, he does not qualify for President Of The United States...No matter how much media hype, photo ops and scripted opinions, at the end of the day Barack Obama still has no content of character.
