Briton to be deported from Philippines for victimizing women

If every man who had sex with a woman in the Philippines and failed to financially support them was punished for that "offense" there wouldn't be many innocent guys still walking around there.

There has to be something more to this story. Did this Brit upset some influencial person over quite a different matter?

It is kind of ironic considering the subject of this article.

As I reside in the Philippines, since August 2000 as a permanent resident, I see too much of foreigners from Germany, Austrailia, and the UK, coming into this country and using young girls for all their sexual needs and fantasies. This is not to say that there are men from other countries doing this; and then again, not all of them are engaged in this type of rancid behaviour. The cause, it seems is poverty in a lot of cases, and the desperation of girls to be able to find happiness with a foreign man, and whom will be able to get enough money now and then to hand over to her parents to help them as well. I see this all over the Philippines. It is very sad that the women of this country cannot qualify better those images they see so often and fall victim to. I've been happily married for 25 years to a Filipina, have a 15-year old son, and live in Tumauini (Isabela). Never, have I engaged in this kind of stupid activity. The Briton should face a Philippine court and be legalfully bound to pay resitiution to the women until their children reach the legal age of emancipation.

yes mate, it is a porn shop. filipina prostitutes are everywhere in australia. it is truly embarrassing to read newspapers as photos of filipina prostitutess are advertised. most of them were ex-mailorder brides. so watch out your spouse when you take her to magnificent Denmark.

Denmark is a beautiful country. My neighbor has a sister (married to a Danish man) residing there. I used to go to the Swagman Hotel in Manila, across from the US Embassy, and the Aussies bring in their "prossies" (one told me she was 13) to that hotel for a week of fun and games and a week of shopping, as they are called-up and used as escorts for vacationing Aussies...and possibly other foreigners coming into Manila, as well. Although I did not engage in any of the monkey business, as I was a working attorney and stayed there at the expense of this American who was divorcing a Filipina, this older American was completely fleeced of over $200,000 while staying there by a "John", and provider of a woman he brought in from Samar just for the American. Drugs were the part-cause of the American's demise, but this American would not listen to the obvious. Anyway, like "timincal" mentioned, it is ironic that advertisements for MOB's are right on this same web page. I met my wife in the US legitimately through the subdivision civic improvement association of which I was president of in Texas. She came to the US as an associate of the American family who hired my wife (before we were married), as a visitor on the auspices of this family. She resided in the same subdivision. I courted Ester for 5 years, then, a year later we were married (in our 6th year of knowing each other). That was in 1988. She was 37 years old at the time, I was 45; both our first marriages. Then, in 1993, along came our first child. Perfectly normal. Pogi. We are very well-to-do because of my former work, and now at retirement (I'am 65) we still have lots to do together in raising our 15-year old son and providing a fantastic home life for him. But, this is the "dream" life, most Filipina's want...and need, but selling themselves to nasty-minded foreigners make matters impossible to live with in their young lives. Too bad more cannot be done to qualify incoming profiles such as this British guy. He ought to pay for his lifestyle.

Thank you for your noble reply about my country. Here in Denmark, there are many girls from the Philippines. They help many children's families, and thus most here as au pair.
BUT: a country of justice is also to protect those who are being exploited. It should never happen.
You can not live in Denmark 'as ex-mail Bride'.
Here we have a social security system which helps girls on their way.
So if you say 'Yes it's a porn shop'...... then you have a problem inside your law rules.
Who are the weak? Not the person but the society!!!
If so: they need help not stick.

The Philippine government does very little to protect overseas Filipino workers. They do little for any of these college-educated turned toilet-scrubbers in most parts of the mideast and other places in the world. The Department of Foreign Affairs on Roxas Boulevard in Manila is run by the tight-hand of the President, who is one of the top two most corrupt Presidents in one of the top two most corrupt countries in the world today. These overseas workers have to pay "premiums" to the government when they are employed overseas...that is, if the Filipino worker pays the mandatory payment. I would love to see this "mail-order bride" crap completely go away forever. The US embassy is full of these girls marrying (for the most part, Vic)these ugly, uneducated and low-living Americans who are the type that really cannot find a woman in their own country...so they hit on these girls over here. It's another way out for these girls. I know a MOB right here near where I live. She married this Mormon guy, who was an uncle of a Mormon missionary who came to this area. This woman still resides here as she cannot go to the US as there is a 15-year waiting list. She is happy, however, because this Mormon sucker sends her money every month so this woman can parade around town in bright, glittery dresses and sashes and high-heels. Prima Dona. Investigations find that many Filipinas attend churches where missionaries are proactive, so they can get friendly, marry the missionaries (which is disallowed anyway by the churches)or their relatives just to get away from this country. Really sad state of affairs just survive! Yes, agreed, it IS society, and culture, and the allowance of the society to not protest and change the way this country is run. Countries do not want to entangle themselves with other countries traditions, status-quo, or laws, so it's best, they say, to leave things as they are. But the problems and issues never go away. But, for people like this Brit, for instance, and others who come to this country - or screw around with the overseas worker Filipina in another country - should fall under the domestic laws of both countries, as they both are nationals of separate countries. This Brit should not be deported until he faces court charges of 2nd-degree rape and made mandatory payments to each of these girls to support their children and medicals until the kids reach emancipation age. This may prevent, if internationally broadcast and printed in the medias worldwide, that others who come to the Philippines with "intents and agendas" to stay home and play with themselves rather than cause a lifetime of heartaches for the girls' lives they interfere with, and their own lives they destroy.

I agree, I too am married to a native and am quite proud of her and ashamed of Americans that act the way described above too.

right under age sex sould be a jail term with out a problem .but if a girl is of legal age and decides to do that job then to me its ok.maybe some dont enjoy the job but im sure some do (only my oppion)any beatings miss treatment or anythink else sould be jail again .you have to look at bigger pic pilot. its not nice but it goes on world over. its ok in uk thay get money to live of goverment thay dont here thay dont earn money here thay die .simple as that.and if it means family has money for food and clothes then in my eyes thats ok.its far easyer than working in a rice field for 100 php a day thats what thay earn here were i live. so 1000 php for a nice night free drinks then a nice clean shower then sex then homes what would you do .

Welcome to Law 9262, look it up sometime, it can save your life here as well as knowing when your accused of it, it's time to find a way out of the country before they take your passport.

There are rules and regulations here, not many and very few are enforced, but when you run into someone that knows that laws and has any connection to power what so ever, we'll just check the law and you will see how this man was charged and how ANY man can be charged in just one instance with one women, let alone with this many!

This isn't America, this isn't Great Britian, this is a whole new game my friends, a little knowledge goes a long way here.

You forgot to mention that same thing happens in reverse when the Pinoy boyz and "men" who impregnate the girls here and just walk off on a daily basis, if 'they' were held accountable this place would be a zoo!!!

Filipino men do it everyday here, just in my village alone I would need a calculator to add up all the Filipino guy's that split on their preggies.
