I wish they (illegal immigrants) could see things from our point of view, and understand how it effects our country.

The immigrations laws do not allow criminals to immigrate to the US. As soons anyone crosses the border illegally, they are a criminal. Therefore they should never be given legal status. They should have stayed and did the paper work and waited their turn. Anyone here illegally should be deported when found.

I love my fellow Americans, not illegal squatters that soak up public services we pay for. I see no reason to clelbrate Mexican culture, or any other culture for that matter. We have our own, it has served us well, created more freedom and prosperity for more people than just about any other culture. I am sick and tired of all of this. Fortify the boarder, Shoot the law breakers, and allow documented temporary workers in only when needed. Racist, you bet! Now I feel better.

For your information there are around one million US Americans living in Mexico and the majority of them do not speak Spanish. Furthermore, they continue celebrating US holidays.

We need to get rid of all the illegals (whether they're Mexican or another nationality). I have no problem if they go through the system but the problem is that so many of them don't! I'm a single mom with three kids. I've worked very hard not to be a burden on our system. These people are taking away our jobs as well as our country!! Most of the jobs that they take up are jobs that our teenagers should be doing. These illegals are forcing us to change our country into theirs by forcing us to use the Spanish language everywhere! How many students graduate from high school not knowing how to speak English?! You get turned down at McDonald's now if you don't speak Spanish! This is America for cripe's sake, not Mexico! How long will it be before they've completely taken over our country? Why don't they just change theirs instead of ours?! There are too many people in our country that are the "poor-illegals-they-need- help-kind-of-people". You need to wake up and smell the future because they're not just coming....they're already here!

A day without a Mexican, try it sometime. Everyone talks a good game, but when the rubber meets the road, we couldn't hang. I won't bore you with the details, however, those "illegals" have become an integral part of our economy. Not saying it is right, it is what it is. Blame your government for allowing it to happen.

No real solution but to offer some type of amnesty at this point. Couldn't ship back 20 million illegals, plus it would have a hug imPACT on our economy. I hear people saying they'd be willing to pay more for basic items, they have no clue how much more they would have to pay if wages went up.

Unfortunately, politicians are completely out of touch with mainstream America, so any law they come up with won't solve the problem for a majority of us.

Then I served my country and went to college and got an education so I could have a better job and pay my taxes, so the government can support and defend the Constitution and enforce our laws.. All the documents I presented for hiring were legal and authentic.
Thank you, Steve.

I manage, everyday, to survive without Mexican's...They aren't paying my bills, mowing my lawn, growing and picking my produce, or cleaning my toilets...I do it myself...
Furthermore, given the choice, most American's would rather their tax $$$ be spent on deporting them, than to support them while they're here ILLEGALLY...

Ah well said
We don't need them to do the work Americans won't do, nope just save some of that tax money we are getting screwed out of and we can afford to pay a few extra bucks for things from legitimate companies that pay legitimate wages.
it amazes me that people are soooooooooo stupid they don't realize the people that hire illegals are reaping huge profits while running legitimate business out of town

If it is to be, so be it. Our national intgrity and identity is more important than a short term loss. The loss will be overridden by the costs saved from less crime, less social and health expenditures, etc. Our economy will adjust. I personally know many Americans who want to work in certain industries that are now only hiring illegals. The impact will not be as much as you may think.

Hussie - no offense, but you're clueless. If you deported all the illegals, wages would go up across the board. I don't have time for an Economics 101 class right now, but you'd be paying a lot more for everyday items.

Think about, do you honestly believe our government ALLOWED all these illegals in our country because they care about their well being? Because Jose was having a tough time in Mexico and our government wanted to help him out? It's all about cheap labor.

Hey, give me some money and I'll hire 10 good people that can design any tomatoe or strawberry picking maching you want, cheaper and better than any Mexican can do it. The fact is that for some reason the media wants these dimwits in our country. Why? Unless you are Mexican, I have no idea. I quit working as a tool desgner 5 years ago simply because I paid illegals to remove a tree. They got paid 4 times what I got paid for the same length of time.
This immigration bill is simply wrong. If you want to give amnesty to the illegals and their immediate family it amounts to approximately 50,000,000 illiterate people. I heard on the radio this morning that there will be 90,000 college graduates this year in California. This is such a small number in comparison to the amount of uneducated illegals we would be legalizing in our state. We should in the least insist that to become citizens, the illegals get a G.E.D. taught in English. It can be argued that this is an attempt to keep a sub-class of people.
We should also insist that they prove they have lived here for a specified length of time as well as give names of the people that hired them and how much they were paid. Also the people that they rented from as well as how much they paid for rent. Even with the threat of doing this, the job market and rentals would dry up for illegals and the I.R.S. would have a field day.
Last, we should close the doors to any legals coming to this country for 10 years if their respective countries have surpassed their quota of legal immigration.

Actually NO, I boycott any vacations to Mexico. I see enough of you dumb asses running around Denver.
Steve you are on target. I have written to EVERY legislator in CO rebuking this piece of crap amnesty bill.
About the oranges for $7.- that is what the GUEST worker program is for. Not freeloading, sapsucking, lawbreaking illegals.
This issue has turned quiet people into finally speaking out. This bill WILL ruin everything that I have been working for and paying for for 40 years. We can ALL kiss our social security retirements goodbye if this passes!
Good for you Nan! I too, won't be taking any vacations to Mexico in the future. There are plenty of nice places to travel right here in our own country + you won't have a bunch of mexicans bugging you to buy something every where you go. Well, at least not now. That could change in the near future if this immigration plan passes.

We all need to be vocal in our opposition to this insane proposal. Enough is enough!! Write letters, send e-mails, faxes, call your senator, we need to be heard!!

What about this one for your "cheap labor"?...

The annual $$$ amount being sent each year to Mexico alone is roughly $80 billion...This is coming from , if you believe their figures, 12-20 million ILLEGALS...And not all of them from Mexico...
Based on my calculations, just counting the 20 million ILLEGALS, that adds up to $40,000.00 a year, per ILLEGAL, being sent only to Mexico...
Add this amount to what it costs them to live ILLEGALLY in America...

Now tell me, how many American's wouldn't work for this kind of money?...

Kinda blows your theory out of the water...

gave it back to her and told her that she had made a mistake in MY
