Atheism 101: Trivia for and about non-believers

As a former catholic, I believe there are many closet atheists in the catholic church but fear the wrath brought down on them if admitting it.

I know many people that believe in something just not a god.

That is what bothers some religious people, the fact that we as humans become more enlighten and can see the fallacious of religion and a belief in a god.

…folks stating they have "no religious affiliation" are the country's second largest religious affiliation…

Having experienced Calgary, I can empathize.

You don't think that God knows that? Them not admitting it means nothing.

Actually I think it works the other way. Take science. Once science discovered the fine tuning to the universe and its origins, it demands a God. Same with life. Once science was to see inside a living cell and see that its really a hi-tech factory, the only thing that could explain its origins is God.

I read the bible and compaired religions and research orgins and history of religions. I found religions are all based on myth or some event unexplainable to primitive people. Romans found that a universal religion made for easy control and unification of its power. The birth of xtianity was the Council of Nicea about 300CE. Jesus is a myth.

Atheists are religious, they prop the flying spaghetti monster god all the time, but pretend it's a parody.

there's a lot of preachers and ministers in many christian sects who are atheists, but stay in the job because they have no experience, education or skills to be able to make a living from out in the world.
