So legally the Queen is responsible for defending the faith?
Does she have powers over the canadian Prime Minister? I'm thinking she selects the Governor General but I not sure.
"In her capacity as queen of the United Kingdom, Elizabeth II is styled, "Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith". The title "Defender of the Faith" reflects the Sovereign's position as the Supreme Governor of the Church of England, who is thus formally superior to the Archbishop of Canterbury. "
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fidei_defensor

"The Queen personifies the state and is the personal symbol of allegiance, unity and authority for all Canadians. Legislators, ministers, public services and members of the military and police all swear allegiance to The Queen. Elections are called and laws are promulgated in The Queen's name.
The Queen is represented in Canada on a day-to-day basis by a Governor-General. He or she is appointed by The Queen on the advice of the ministers of Canada and is completely independent of the British Government. "
http://www.royal.gov.uk/MonarchAndCommonwealt...

"Canada’s Parliament consists of three parts: the Queen, represented by the governor general; the Senate; and the House of Commons....
One of the governor general’s most important responsibilities is to ensure that Canada always has a prime minister and a government in place that has the confidence of Parliament. In addition, the governor general holds certain reserve powers, which are exercised at his or her own discretion."

Just heard that Canada spends 3 1/2 million dollars per hour on OUR national debt.

That national debt is a result of the billions that Canadians pay for this forced, illegal official bilingualism, and the forced apartheid that Quebec instills with its Racist Bill 101.

Unlike the Queen, Quebec is a parasite feed off Canadians.

You either have your hear buried in the sand or walk around with a bag over your head.

Get this through that hollow skull..

The majority of Canadians no longer support bilingualism and spending
billions each year on it.

What we spend on the Queen is less than 1% of what we spend to keep
you french happy.

Like it or not, as long as you live in Canada, she is YOUR Queen.

If that is a problem, then get the hell out.

Fewer than 2% of Canadians that support any particular policy do it so very strongly such that they feel compelled to join a political party. The majority of "participants" in our parliament system contribute nothing to the heavy lifting of formulating and implementing policies to become laws that are promulgated in The Queen's name. Only a slim majority of them even vote at general elections, fully 98% of them do not vote in nomination contests for MP candidates. Five parties in Her Majesty's House of Commons and only 100,000 Canadians are even "eligible to" vote for the new leader of NDP in the current contest. For 60 years Her Majesty has given us all either a government that has the confidence of Parliament or an election.
