Anything that is tough on crime, and corruption in that region is a good thing! Not only should they be imprisoned for life, but all their property should be confiscated, and they should be made to pay heavy fines! Yet there must be due process of law, and trial by a jury of peers!
Furthermore, for example, Demjanjuk is an American Citizen, who deserves a trial by a jury of his peers, meaning his peers are fellow workers at his place of employment in the Chicago Automobile factory, or fellow Ukrainians and Poles who survived both the depression, and the Nazi presence, and the Red Army presence as well! This Germany extraditing Demjanjuk, and Israel trying him for five years of his life, and making his wife and son travel to Israel on and off for five years is rediculous, and absurd, and an abuse of the American Justice system! Now justice would be if all those Soviets who sent so many Christians from Ukraine,Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, and other Eastern Bloc countries, to Gulags, or their death, were brought to trial like the Nourembourg trials, or the Hague trials of Milosevic, and now that Psychiatrist from Serbia! And furthermore, Demjanjuk is over 87 years old! How ridiculous, to escape the Nazis, and Commies and come to America and work his years in an Auto plant, raise a family and then have Germany and Israel bring charges against him! Very Absurd! If it were not for a man by the name of Jimmy Carter and American protections and funds for Israel's military, then Israel would not have had peace with her neighbors and would have been destroyed many years ago! But the irony is that Israel attacked the United States Navy Ship: The US Liberty in 1967! If it were not for Jimmy Carter's peace efforts and US aide to Israel being over $48 Billion/yr since 1948, Israel would have been torched by her neighbors before 1955! Back to my point, the leaders of Communism, and Sovietism have not been brought to Justice for their atrocity of Genocide against Ukraine in 1932-1933, and later in 1946! So before a nation such as Germany has jurisdiction on Demjanjuk, when just near 21 yrs ago, East Berlin was locked down and under Soviet Iron Curtain, Stalin's Reds should be brought to Justice for their Genocides against Ukraine, and the Ukrainian People! And Israel even now, has no better justice then East Berlin with its wall, and Kalashnikovs in the towers had! Lets hope that Ukraine prepares well for the Next World Cup soccer games, and joins the EU, and Nato, sooner rather then later! God bless Ukraine eternally!
