The nut doesn't fall far from the tree. Since she doesn't like paying her rent or utilities, she's in good shape. The taxpayers are going to pick it up for her from now on.

Why didn't Fruitlands have more than one person supervising its funds? Shouldn't checks made out for payment pass through more than one person's hands? Careful audits might have caught this, also.

It seems that Fruitlands has a very heavy cash flow for a non-prifit. Maybe some of their donors should reconsider their gifting, a find a better use for their money.

Let me guess: One year in jail, all but 1 month suspended. Five years probation and restitution. She will pay back $25 or $50 per month until her probation is up, then she'll skip town. Stop me if you've heard this before.

I hope they throw the book at this family. She didnt just scam the Fruitlands she scammed everyone she came in contact with while working there. Nice parent to teach her children to live by being a con artist and ripping off people. People like that shouldnt even have kids. I hope they all get jail time for their crime and it should be for the amount of time they operated their scam. Maybe slap a few more years on for Mommie Dearest for bad parenting.

That salary! working for the Museum and she still couldn't support her "children"?(Sarcasti cally) "Thank God she is being prosecuted in a Massachusetts court", otherwise she might have to be scared of actually doing some serious time.

This is Fruitlands fault. When it comes to cash there has to be accountablilty and good record keeping. They should have stopped at $1 million, it's always that last 300K that gets you!

Yeah, definitely, blame the museum. Don't hold the thief accountable.

Dope.

This probably wasn't her first con job. Her former employers should be checking their records to see where she "cooked" their books.

My son got married there in 2007 and she tried to keep their 1k deposit saying they left a mess, they fought it threw the cc company and won, what nerve trying to steal from young people when they spent over 10k for their wedding there. How many other people did she steal money from who did not fight back or question it. She should go to jail and have to pay back what she stole every cent. They charge an outrageous amont just to have a wedding there, you have to use their catering service, shame shame on Fruitlands for letting this happen, and not having better controls and monitoring, wouldn't doubt the caterer was in on it too!

I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT THIS WOMAN USED HER JOB AS A FUNNEL FOR MONEY... LET ALONE USE HER CHILDREN TO ACCESS MORE MONEY. WHEN HER MOTHER MARY KEMPTON CAME DOwN FROM PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND, CANADA TO VISIT, PEGGY KEMPTON WOULD TAKE HER OUT SHOPPING AT STORES LIKE TALBOTS AND NORDSTROMS AN D BUY HER ALL SORTS OF CLOTHES. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS B.... ARE YOU A NUT CASE? I GUESS YOU PROVED THAT! YOU HAVE PROVEN THAT YOU ARE NOT MENTALLY RESPONSIBLE. WHAT WERE YOU HINKING? OR RATHER YOU WERE NOT . HER HUSBAND IS A COMMERCIAL AIRPLANE PILOT FOR DELTA. GOOD LUCK BOBBY
