As a ten year season ticket holder I certainly hope not but unfortunately this will probably come true. The Indiana Fever have been far more entertaining and extremely more successful than the Pacers in recent years. A combination of economic conditions and limited and mostly negative publicity for the Fever, the WNBA and women's sports in general may doom this francise and ultimately the WNBA as well. It's too bad that short sighted and prejudiced people (both men and women) have not at least given this team and professional women's basketball a try at least. Fortunately for most of the players, their careers will continue - if not in the United States in Europe, Australia, Russia and in Asian countries where leagues continue and the players are compensated far better.

From Stephanie White and Monica Maxwell to Tamika Catchings and Katie Douglas, the Fever have brought me some anguish and disappointment but mostly they have brought to me entertainment and fun. If this is the last year for the Fever, I bid the francise a fond farewell with a sincere thank you for the memories.
