Another thing Tulsa does not need!!!! This is just an additional drain on the tax payers. All professional teams drain the tax payers and this will be no different except this WNBA consists of consistant losing franchises.

I am surprised that anyone can find something negative about this. It seems to me that it could only be positive for Tulsa.

Are haters anyone who has a different thought than yours or are you just using smoke and mirrors to create some sort of hate and discontent.

I love it how when someone disagrees with some people they're automatically a "hater". It used to bother me. Now I find it funny.

I'm assuming they had to move somewhere because of the recession and all the job loses in Detroit because of the automakers has turned Detroit almost into a ghost town.

Give me a break. Women's professional basketball - how successful has the OKC NBA been received? Tulsa needs to stick to college teams for great basketball, namely our Tulsa Hurricane - mens!

One more thing: How can the WNBA be full of consistently losing franchises? Every time one team loses, another wins. It's statistically impossible for them to all be losers.
Winning and losing is not about the game score. If it were a neighborhood kids game that would hold true. I recognize Alan was speaking of the financial aspects of the WNBA. As to tax payer costs, you are unfortunately totally unaware. The tax payers suffer though a mutitude of offers, such asTax incentives that include reduction in taxes up to and include a complete waiver of all taxes. Tax monies promised at either reduced set levels or percentages determined to offset francise expenses and losses. The list is long and evil, but it is promised and sold as a "big gain" for the community and that cannot be further from the truth..

How about we stop complaining about every little thing and show a little support to Tulsa. Why waste time disapproving everything that is going to happen, whether we like it or not. Take advantage or this oppurtunity (wanted or not) and enjoy the entertainment. If it is a trainwreck like everyone is saying, hey haven't we all rubbernecked before. This is just me but why waste time in being a negative Nancy and look for a positive, I bet there are a lot of little girls out there that are probably excited about this.

So what's going to happen when that many black women (with families) who make decent money come to Tulsa? Will the head North with their cultural demographic, or South with their income demographic?
The North Side shouldn't be too shocking considering they're coming from Detroit.

How about if we take back our city, get rid of the irresponsible officials and turn around our little world instead of just following along like sheep. Perhaps you like the idea they will be serving kool-aid but many, if not most, are no longer willing to just settle.
