The "party" school.
I know lots of friends who had their kids go there and say drinking is the #1 past time.

Let the court decide her fate, which will most likely be probation and a fine. This was probably the first time she was arrested so she won't go to jail. Her decision to drive wasn't a wise one but people make mistakes and she will be punished accordingly. How many people do you know that have DUI's? Are they terrible people or just made a bad choice. No one was injured because of it and she will learn her lesson. The people to attack are the ones with 2 or more DUI's who keep getting behind the wheel drunk. I don't think UConn has anything to do with it; she is an adult who can legally drink, in this situation she made the bad decision to get in the car and drive. Pwilson, why don't you get off your computer and visit a few colleges and see what goes on instead of spreading your hearsay. She's been out of school for over 3 years how is that the blame? Worry about your own kids who are probably drinking in the backwoods of Newtown and driving drunk because of your attitude and parenting.

you seem mad.you mad? no, you did not state it that way.you made it seem that the fine institution that IS UConn is to blame for Diana's drinking issues. Don't be mad.You mad?
I wasn't blaming UCONN. I was saying UCONN because that is where she went, and it is know to be a party after class school. It has nothing to do with academics.

Hearsay? So where have you been. Under a rock? Are you going to pretend that there is no drinking going on at UCONN? I stated that that is where her drinking could have started. Lots of times, that's where it does start for many students.

Yes that is probably where she started since she turned 21 while she was at Uconn. You probably started drinking when you were working the farm when you were 12.

If Diana is an alcoholic, which you are implying she is, how would she be one of the top professional athletes in the WNBA? The 27 yr old. had an extra drink or 2, then used bad judgement to drive, she will learn from her mistake. I'm not saying let her off but no need to attack her for her first offense. She was driving 55 in a 35, something everyone does. Did you ever notice how much charity work she does for CT even though she lives in another state?

Ive visited over 20 universities and noticed drinking the norm amongst 18 to 22 year olds. I still dont understand how that has anything to do with this recent DUI as its over 3 years later. Although Uconn is one of the bigger party schools I find it hard for a athlete, who was the #1 draft pick, to find extra time to become an alcoholic or drink regularly.

I hope I and my family and friends never drive in your neighborhood. All we need is for some drunken speeder to hurt or kill us. Are school crosswalks target zones too? Stop signs are for shooting at?

You must live in the world of ex-Conns (U Conn, that is).

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Gemini

It's a red letter day for relationships under the Lunar Eclipse in your house of significant others, because you're facing some important and far-reaching changes to some of them. The pressure has been building since the Gemini Solar Eclipse on May 20. f you've known for some time that things aren't working out, you're about to reach a crisis point as becomes obvious that the present situation can't continue much longer. The coming New Moon in Gemini on June 19 will see progress of one kind or another, though this unusual eclipse cycle will have a far-reaching effect. You may have to be cruel to be kind, or more forceful than you would like, in order to get your point across, but do you really have any viable alternative?
