Her bac was reported to be over twice the legal limit? Are you kidding me? At best because of who she is she will get a slap on the wrist and her license suspend for 6 months " maybe" and a few AA classes. I am a father of five who could have been on the road at the time of incident just like anyone person or family. This incident could have very quickly resulted in a terrible out come at the hands of Ms Taurasi's. She surely knew that she was under the influence of alcohol and took the chance that she could have ended the lives of many people including her own. WHY didnt she seek a RESPONSIBLE driver such as a cab if that in fact was her only option left? Ms Taurasi you are charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol (TWICE) the legal limit how do you plea? GUILTY YOUR HONOR

I bet the drinking "problem" started at UCONN. The "party" school. I know lots of friends who had their kids go there and say drinking is the #1 past time.

There must be something in the air in Phoenix, seems to be a lot of athletes arrested for Dui/Dwi there. My hero Sheriff Joe will fit her into a nice Pink-jumpsuit, did anyone see Charles Barkley in one a few months back? There are a lot of bars in this one area, ah that wouldn't matter. On a Canadian two dollar bill, the flag flying over the Parliament building is an American Flag.

That may be true for some, but i don;t get the feeling that the UCONN basketball teams have much spare time. Both coaches are very demanding. But there is nothing inherently wrong with drinking. The problem comes from drinking and driving. I have no reason to believe Taurasi did that at Uconn.

NOTHING wrong with getting yourself in a state where you cannot make rational decisions? Never heard of date rape? Or any other non-vehicular consequence of drinking heavily?

The level of impairment that is illegal for driving is well below the level of being so intoxicated one passes out.

She was stopped by police for driving DUI, 20 mph over the limit? Hmmm.....sounds familiar: Did she have Steve McNair with her?

Wait, what? BAC was .17 and she pleads NOT GUILTY? If this happened in Storrs, the cops would have driven her home and then prayed to their Auriemma shrine.

In some cases...the first drink will be in college. Nowadays....High school.

Her BAC was under her scoring average (20.6), so she'll be fine.
