Steve Moore, 3 Years Later

Full story: OTB Sports

Today marks the three years since March 8, 2004 when one of the NHL took one of the biggest black eyes ever at the fist of Todd Bertuzzi's sucker punch to the back of Steve Moore's head.

Moore should have just turned around and fought like he was supposed to, the week before he puts Naslund out with a concusion (BRUTALLY CHEAP SHOT TO THE HEAD), you know payback is coming. We all know that Todd did not mean to break Moores neck, Moore should have just turned and fought like most men in the NHL do. Like a coward you turtle and have 10 guys land on your head you are bound to get injured, Moore needed payback its just to bad he got hurt as badly as he did.

P.S.

Bert would eat Tysons lunch lol.

I would never have Mike Tyson in the ring with Todd Bertuzzi. I'd let a real champion like Vitaly Klitchko take him apart!

Steve, I am a high school junior writing a paper on the trial for my Law professor and would like to speak with you if I may. I have the Bertuzzi side (NHL) and I would appreciate yours.

Bertuzzi is a thug. He is a bastardization to hockey, and should be banned from the NHL. Moore's hit on Naslund was a bad hit. BUT Naslund is still playing. Bertuzzi's shot on Moore is down right criminal. The day the NHL let that animal back in the league was the day I lost a lot of respect for the league. I hope San Jose destroys the Red Wings, solely to rid Bertuzzi of playing. I also lost respect for the Wings to pick up a menace to the game like Bertuzzi. Other enforcers in the league don't have to end careers to prove points. Bertuzzi is nothing more than a thug.

Also Moore's hit on Naslund was reviewed by the league and was a clean hit. No penalty was given during the game, no fine or suspension to Moore or the Avs. NHL rule was a completely clean hit.

Bertuzzi wasn't trying to break Steve Moore's neck, he was trying to kill him. For one, the attack on Moore was planned. And if Moore ever returns to the NHL it will be a miracle. Bertuzzi shouldn't be playing hockey at any level right now. His team retaliated to a clean, legal hit on their captain that just happened to give him a concussion. Bertuzzi's attack on Moore was no different than if he had attacked him with a baseball bat out on the street.

I totally agree with you man, its unfortunate that the dudes neck got broken but he should have turned and fought like he was supposed to, that guy that hit Kaberle this year said in an interview that he did not intend to hurt him but also knew payback was coming and he went out the next time they played and had to fight and did, he said he was not going to run and hide which is exactly what Moore did, would not turn and fight and look what happened.

All that being said I still do not think that Bert broke dudes neck it was everybody that piled on after the fact.

Moores a little bitch that probably should not have been playing at that level anyways, Hey Steve take your money and run man please go away you are a negative in this sport that wont seem to go away just take your money and leave please go!!

you guys are fools, moore didnt fight because the initial hit knocked him out you fool. Bertuzzi should've been a man and squared up. Bertuzzi is a woman for his actions.... then he cried about it I hate Todd. MOORE'S HIT ON NASLUND WAS CLEAN TOO...not a cheap shot.

Let me get straight to the point. The paranormal is extremely real and I have experienced the spirit world. When performing a seance at Frontenac Castle in Quebec, psychic medium Sol Sharmans contacted a number of spirits from a Canadian background. Lord Strathcona, William Christopher Freville, Cornelius Van Horne, and Louis de Buade. The ouija board was active throughout and one point Sol or Solihull performed the ancient art of table tipping. There was much communication between our psychic and the spirits, including telekinesis. All in all, everyone went home a firm believer. More information can be found at Paranormal Services Beyond.

Your on crack man, the hit on Naslund was brutally cheap and also Bert tried turning Moore around but like a little coward he would not turn and face the music even though he knew it was coming, the unwriten rule is you take your medicine like a man and because he refused it he was force fed it. Its just to bad he got hurt so bad also the Granato is as much to blame for what happened as Bert is, the league can take some blame to for not handling the Naslund hit like they should have. If the league suspends Moore for the hit on Naslund then the whole incident probably doesnt happen..

you guys conveniently forget that Moore was challenged earlier in the game and did, in fact, fight. The "medicine" was already taken. That should have been the end of story. Bertuzzi may have not meant to cause the extent of damages that occurred, but he meant to hurt him. You don't attack somebody from behind just for grins. You don't see Scott Parker sliding up behind somebody and blasted 'em. Bertuzzi will always be booed in Colorado, with good reason.
