Yes they can consent to sex at age 16 ( look it up) the problem for Darwitz was he was in a postion of power being there coach thats why the other guy isnt being charged he wasnt in a postion of power.

Mr. Confused (I know you're a man), if you would bother to learn a bit of history and learn how to read as well, you'll realize that this story has EVERYTHING to do with the sick, disgusting citizens of Cottage Grove taking many years to get rid of a racist, homophobic mascot. Maybe if they would have taught more on values and dignity instead of parading around an anti-woman stereotype we would not have these stories. This man was taught to denigrate women by the culture at Park High which took to long to grow up and is probably still undergoing growth and not where they need to be.

So he's not guilty because he'd quit his job? At his age he knows the rules. He should definitely be coaching boys teams ONLY.

Because the DOE and schools are trained to hide until it makes front page news. What the hell are you the opinion cop now? telling people to keep their mouths shut?? where do you get off? That is what this forum is for. These girls certainly could be slutty! They performed oral sex on the guy and they appeared to have had sex with him both the same night? They could have refused or walked away. They may have seen dollar signs and decided to sue? They may have after all this time decided they could place it all on him. He was the adult. I do not condone anything he did. He was wrong. But for you to come to the rescue of these two may be totally wrong? And you certainly are wrong to try and stifle people's opinion.

Sounds kinda slutty to me. I grew up in the 60's and 70's and I am sure there is a new word for it now!
