Do you remember Chico 17 from last years blogs?? We met at the convention and we had a blast. It is good to see the regulars from last year here, I am looking forward to that next year.

I did not hear Kane say that, I wonder why he is being pissy, could it be cause of Toews becoming the Captain?? Well he is going to realize how it is to be a Hawk and to stay a Hawk from Hull. AND he is going to have a much better chance to win several cups here rather than Buffalo. I just can't believe that he would be like that especially after the way the fans just love him. My guess, and of course it's only a guess, is that he may have been feeling overwhelmed at the moment or possibly someone had really been leaning on him just before he went on the air. It's time the players we idolize start retiring having worn nothing but the indian head. It makes me sick when I see Denis in that Canadiens jersey. Yeah, I know we got Chelios, but still....Larmer got his Cup, but with the Rangers...Belfour, Roenick (who to this day I want on my team in a game 7, bar none), the list goes on. On the good side, it doesn't appear the Hawks will be cheapskates again any time soon. Yeah, I remember Chico17. I've been rather puzzled by his absence during all the off season news.

Poor Kaner... He had to lose 3 days of summer vacation to go to the convention...

I think Chico is focused on the Sox right now...He'll be here when it counts.

I still believe that the Hawks need to make amends with Belfour, Roenick, and others. I love the Hawks and the direction they are going in.

I think it would take one hell of a change of heart for Kaner to say anything other than he loves it, here in Chicago, and couldn't play as well or go as far as he can with Toews and the Hawks, this and many more seasons to come! I've seen just enough interview time with him where he had no time to prepare a statement and spoke right off the top of his head. HE NEVER HAS SAID ANYTHING THAT GAVE THE SLIGHTEST IDEA THAT HE IS ANYTHING OTHER THAN A MODEST TEAM PLAYER WITH ABOVE AVERAGE SAVVY, TALENT AND DRIVE. How about that in a sports town full of arrogant, over-paid, under-achieving "stars". Plus both he and Toews have shared the microphone more than once and talked like team-mate buddies.
"They're OUR kids, damnit!"
