It's already here people buy and sell it everyday here even if it's not legal so let's make it legal so we can get the tax dollars instead of the people bootlegging getting all the money.

oh no we can't casinos. go cross the river an look at the ky plates. hahahaha
if i were rich i would give it a way. start your self a brewery, that u can do. only u gots to ship it out. then they would not have to raise tax.

How difficult is for a drunk to drive to Bowling Green or Dansville to buy alcohol? Not very. If the county legalized the sale of alcohol in the county, tax revenue would increase and jobs would be added...mores stores, truck drivers for distribution, and hopefully some GOOD resturants would expand into this area. Maybe if there were more jobs in the area, there would be less meth being manufactured here.

down here they don't have any self control. they think it is against the bible. but u understand they r a little strange, as told to me by one of them.
the rest of the country r able to think beyone a couple words.
oh they don't even know what a stop sign is. was on the bypass, watched the school buses blow through the stop sign there at the school. good example, or that shows u why they r not going to let this place go wet. now thats scary, glad I don't have a kid on them .

It really doesn't matter. Anyone can drive a few miles or catch a ride. Lots of DUI accidents right here regardless. If you don't want to travel, you can make a fine brew right at home. Or let your apples ferment!! There are no 'brew police' going door to door. I enjoy a few sips now and then. Make some of my own and buy some elsewhere. Nothing quite so nice as sipping a homemade champagne out on the porch in the evening. I am a senior and only been drunk twice when young. This is all a big deal about nothing!

I'm sure that Taylor County has figures on crime before and crime after they went Moist. I'd be interested in seeing those and the additional revenue due to their ability to sell in restaurants. Then make the decision on whether or not to have a vote to go Wet or stay Dry.

Read a story not to long ago about ETown building a multi million dollar little league park, with funds raised from a higher tax code generated from resturant and liqour sales. So the evil juice that will send you straight to hell, will now allow thousands of kids to benefit from a state of the art facility. Oh and that same devils juice will also generate millions into the local economy from all the tourny's and events that park will host in years to come. Yeah everyone that's a nay sayer is right, keep that juice out of Columbia, it does nothing but evil things, like allow this town to thrive and grow.

Mrs. Armitage, I am about to become nauseated at your continuous comments regarding Adair County being dry. If I am not mistaken, it is a free country, so you can move anywhere you like. We were dry when you moved here and will probably be dry when you and I die, so accept it or move again, we like our county just like it is, and you must have felt the same way or shouldn't have moved here. It was disgusting that you made a derogatory comment regarding Dakota and the president drinking beer. I think you are free to drink on your own back porch. Please enjoy our community, move, or keep your comments to yourself. We love it this way!!!

If possible I'd like to see those figures. This place is already wet and has been for years. It's just not sold legal and no local taxes are collected on the sales. I would like to live long enough to see sales become legal and will vote "yes" if given the chance. It will take a group effort to get it done (wet vote) and I'd be more than willing and happy to assist.

oh me wrote: same here how we go about getting it started First we would need to get a qualified Attorney to write the petition to sign to get even get it on a ballot. We would then gather legitimate voter signatures. If we can collect enough valid voter signatures it could be put to a vote. The ballot itself must be written up properly for it to successfully work. Remember what a royal mess they had in Russell County? It was destined to fail from the start unfortunately. I really wish Adair County would and could manage a true wet vote and not just a moist vote.
